FSX PROBLEM

Recommended Posts

Hello PanosI would check my disk to make sure it does not have a bad sector on it.If I was running an overclock I would disable it temporarily. That would be my starting point.P.S. I remember you from way back. One time I made a scenery of Crete, for FS5.1 or FS98, probably over 10 years ago, and you corresponded with me about it, if I remember correctly...RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian

Panos,Do us a favor and run the app again. Let it fail.Open your Event Viewer (Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer). Look in the Application and System logs.Locate the error message related to this failure. Note the Event ID and copy/paste the entire contents of the error message and post it here. While you are there, look around for other errors that might be going unnoticed. Some questions arise:1) Do you have a Dell RAID controller on your system2) Do you have an SATA hard drive?3) Have you moved any drives around?I also suspect that your issue is related (potentially) to hard drive issues. Your drive may be failing, but not dead yet.Do you have a good backup of your data?

Filemon.exe does the job! http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb896642.aspxhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182112.jpgI found that mfc80.dll was missing from this folder.I found a newer version in my c:Program FilesDivXDivX PlayerMicrosoft.VC80.MFC folder and now my FSX works like a charm!C:WINDOWSWinSxSx86_Microsoft.VC80.MFC_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_x-ww_3bf8fa05Thank you all!Panos GeorgotasAthens-Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
