Game crashing

Recommended Posts

I have had P3D for about almost 1 month and for some reason when ever I try to a flight its ether that my game crashes while I'm on the ground or after 1 hour into the flight.
I had a friend who has had p3d for a very long time try to help me but all his tricks never worked, usually when my game crashes it goes to desktop with a pop up by bug splat which I assume is the crash detector for QW
Any ideas on how to fix this?

@marsha, welcome to AvSim. Please advise which version of P3D you have.

@marsha, try with a default aircraft. If it’s stable then it suggests a problem with the QualityWings aircraft. Which aircraft is it?

@marsha, very capable system. See how you get on with a default aircraft. Boring I know but it will help determine where the problem lies.

I am the friend he is talking about. I trait helping him with some proven stuff. For example, we trait to fly without addons. I am on v4, my sim keeps well, it crashes only around Sydney, due to the amount of scenery I have there.

AFAIK Marsha build the pc on his own, so it is not the last post problem, I think. Also Marsha flies in other simulators, with them he has no issue, only with P3D.

We attempted also lowering down the amount of processes in the system tray, which was quite large, also installing and putting on Intelligent Stand-by List cleaner, because, from what I found online one of the crashes were memory bound.

If other sims and games work fine, then the problem may be a bad P3Dv5 installation.

Try reinstalling P3D and then run with stock aircraft and no addons.
