I have the Drzewiecki RJAA and last night I decided to do a flight out of Narita. I recently deleted all of my learned airports because I wanted to reset all the file settings due to some recent changes I have made to my default settings.

I was surprised to see a QF Real of 0 and a QF Soft of 24 (here is the starting part of the XML):

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<meta>
    <info name="author" value="PSXT" />
    <info name="version" value="7.8.1" />
    <info name="date" value="Jul 10, 2024" />
    <info name="copyright" value="(c) 2024 Nico W. Kaan, Netherlands, All Rights reserved" />
</meta>
<parameters>
    <parameter name="airport_name" value="Narita Intl" />
    <parameter name="publisher" value="Drzewiecki Design" />
    <parameter name="altitude" value="141" />
    <parameter name="num_parkpos" value="165" />
    <parameter name="Qf_real" value="0" />
    <parameter name="Qf_soft" value="24" />
    <parameter name="RT_traffic_week" value="27" />
</parameters>

I checked Balthasar's website to check airport coverage and see that it shows RJAA as having an 86.6% ground coverage and mean ground signal of -47.8dBFS. I can confirm that when I saw the planes moving around, I could see them move into the gates.

So, how come that in an airport with good RT coverage, the archive file seems to have no real parking?

Hi,

You have an outdated file.  The current file in the archive is for week 30. Qf= 39/44

Check you have archive for week 30 on board, (in parameters.xml)

    <parameter name="ARCHIVE_VERSION" value="30.0.0" />

And do an airports scan.

I have archive version 28.0.2, but it had not autoupdated in all of these openings of the program. It did so now when I ran it, so maybe something got unstuck on the backend. I now also have the right RJAA file version.

It checks once in 24 hours only, that's why.

Is it normal for users without RT (static only PSXT) to have "ARCHIVE_VERSION" value="0.1.0" />?

I noticed that Fly2High Kagoshima (RJFT) isn't generating traffic and I wondered if my archive version is old.

Yes it is. For unlicensed use the week number is the second digit. You have the archive of week 1, 2024.

Your archive will be updated say 4 times a year only, so expect the week of April 1 around October. You will always be running at least half a year behind. That's because you get the data from RealTraffic for free.

If you want actual data, you need a license.

Dang I just flew into an empty RJAA last week with the previous archive version. Looks like I'll have to go back 🙂

So I just noticed that RJFK (Kagoshima) by Fly2High is included in my archive database, however, the associated file doesn't have parking space specifics like other files have.  It simply lists the parking spots. I've attached it here.

I'm wondering if this is why aircraft do not spawn at this specific airport.

There is no RJFK in the archive for unlicensed users.

This file (generated June 13, 2024) was produced by PSXT because you visited that airport. It is probably from the PSXT\airports\my_thirdparty\ folder ... (not the archive, unless you have moved it there). I  am sorry, but have to wait for the next archive update for unlicensed users.

Try RJFM.

BTW: please, next time, start a new thread if you have a new problem

The qf for many previously troubled airports have improved. Look at ESSA, ENGM and even KDTW

Has the overall quality and stability of the traffic improved as well?

i have not been on Flight Simulator for weeks because of disapearing traffic constantly.

In the area, where I fly (NA and Europe)- yes. It's like one step back and two steps forward 🙂
