Here's another one:Paraparaumu Airport, New Zealand A fully detailed airport to the same standard as my 'Real New Zealand' payware scenery -- only smaller. Designed for FSX from the ground up, as an example of full FSX compatibility. Incorporates 12cm per pixel ground textures, and accurate, photorealistic GMAX airport buildings. It takes a long time, many months, to create an aircraft for any sim - FS2004, CFS3 and FSX.FSX takes a bit longer because it expands aircraft modeling capabilities, permitting higher resolution meshes compared to FS2004 and the new materials system which requires much experimentation to learn effectively. Add to this the new animation system which provides the power for modelers to animate just about anything they want to. All this gives FSX considerable creative depth along with added complexity compared to it's predecessors. On the subject of freeware aircraft my Bristol F2B was one of the first native freeware FSX aircraft released here at Avsim (and other sites) last February. It has been favourably reviewed and again featured in a recent article on freeware aircraft for FSX, in PC Pilot magazine.http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=97139http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=97140http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=97141http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=97142I have a few other freeware aircraft in production for FSX which unfortunately have to be scheduled around my life outside FS.Freeware for FSX is far from being dead.... just more complex. However at the end of the day that should lead more satisfying freeware releases (hopefully).
