Selecting arrival gate "not valid"

Recommended Posts

Whenever I set the destination gate after setting the destination airport I always get a "not valid" message. For example, just now landing at EGLL...it accepted EGLL as the destination airport, but inputting 523 as destination gate, I got a "not valid" message.

Can anyone help?

Make sure after you enter the destination airfield ICAO identifier you press "Enter", and the same after entering the destination gate name.

And if you're using the iniBuilds EGLL, the gate name is "g523" not "523".  You can find that in the EGLL.xml file--the line will start with <parkpos id=... and the spot name is in quotes

eg: <parkpos id="g523" latitude=...

They should use the ICAO airport gate numbers as published by navigraph etc. I shouldn't have to dive into an xml file to find the relevant gate numbers (that aren't even correct).

You should tell that to the developer of the add on airport, they (not me) came up with these gate names...

I think the prefixes g and r are set by default when no custom gate prefix is choosen/required.

Would a regex check be possible, maybe just listing similar gate numbers?
