So now we have many flavours for Framerate improvement

Recommended Posts

Hello,

So now we have LSFG, Auto FPS, Framerate MOD (for RTX 20/30 series) and the native RTX 40 series frame generation.
I was wondering which is the best for improvement frame rate and smoothness ?

LSFG is cheap to try, about $8.

One thing I've noticed when using Lossless Scaling is that my mouse control is not very good in the sim, but it definately makes it very smooth for me.

AMD Fluid Motion Frames 2 ( Driver Level Framegen / No Artifacts using TAA / substantially reduced lag versus FMF Ver 1 / Substantially improved frame pacing / Direct X 11 and 12 compatible)

https://wccftech.com/amd-fluid-motion-frames-2-ai-optimization-performance-enhancements-low-latency-frame-gen/

Which now allows me to cap the frames without needing RTSS since I can now turn on the frame rate capping feature within the driver settings itself. So no additional apps needed whatsoever.

Just putting it out there for any of the very few people on AMD Radeon 6XXX or 7XXX cards.

With this implementation the only reason i would consider switching back to an Nvidia Card for MSFS is if there is a raytracing penalty present in MSFS2024. If there is none i'm getting a 7900XTX.

Same here. I have to shake the mouse to wake up the cursor.

For me, either:

DX 12 and DLSS with native FG.

or

DX 11 with DLSS with FSFG without native FG.

The bottom one is a little more smooth and less stutters, almost none, even in heavy scenery.

I never use TAA. I probably would if I had a 4090.
