Seemed to bork my system. Lots of trouble shooting and the addon seems to be the culprit. Darn I was looking forward to it.

Is it a marketplace only release? Was looking forward to this but the marketplace is a major turn off for me.

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Everything is nice, only there are no trains. I circled low over the railroad for over half an hour in the El Paso area and didn't see a single train. Road traffic is set to 100 % (also ships and ferries). Restarted also  MSFS  and PC

I also tried the northern part of the USA in the St.Lous region, but also over a 30-minute flight over the railways, not a single animated train (there were only static trains from the MSFS scenario)

The maker of this FS Trains doesn't say anywhere how many and how often these trains are made to run, obviously it's not like road car traffic. There may be 2 animated trains all over the US, so good luck finding them!

Flying in SW Ohio I spotted a freight train on my first try. The sections of railroad that they travel on are darker color than the rest of the tracks, so it is easy to spot the routes they travel. The trains do pop up when going over bridges that cross the rails, otherwise, the trains look very convincing.

Flying from KLGB to KSAN, I saw a freight train going south, and later an Amtrak going north.

Much of the Amtrak was under water, and at one point was blocked by an obstruction of some sort. I didn't see how it got cleared, but eventually it caught up and continued north.

Earlier I started a flight in Fullerton, with an Amtrak schedule, hoping to catch the Pacific Surfliner to SLO or San Diego - but it never came...

Who is the developer and do they have a website? I haven’t seen anything about it. I realize it on the marketplace but I would like more information.

Thanks!

BT Studio is the developer.

I have done several flights now in SW Ohio and have seen at least one train each time. Each time the train has been different. Here are a few observations I have:

1. The trains move very realistically, flowing along the track at a realistic speed and proper movement along the track. (no sudden sharp turn or jagged turns)

2. When a train comes upon another static train, these trains pass on the track next to them very realistically.

3. When a train comes to the end of its track line, the train will disappear, not turn around to go the other way.

4. The routes that come with this addon can easily be identified by the track being darker than the existing tracks.

5. If you have the addon "north_america_railways" by Taburet, you can use them together to hide the darkened tracks and you will still see the trains.

6. The addon does cause the sim to take longer to load, but once loaded, I don't see any significant loss of frames, even on my less-than-robust system, (i7-9700k, 3.6ghz, RTX3060) though I don't watch frame rates.

Overall I am very satisfied with this product and looking forward to seeing where this goes from here. Great product.

I've just purchased it and made a flight in the Kamloops area (Canada). Bingo. Took me five minutes to find a train along the South Thompson River going eastwards. Like it so far.
