August 17, 20241 yr Is there a chart/diagram that I can download that illustrates the visual approach procedure for landing on runway 16 at LGMK Mykonos? August 17, 20241 yr There are no straight in approach procedures to rw16, that I can find anyway. Lots for 34 though i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.
August 17, 20241 yr There is none. During daytime Circle-To-Land procedures following one of the approaches to RWY 34 are authorised west of the airport. I guess irl straight-in visual approaches might be possible with ATC permission. If you are looking for such information, the local AIP is the no.1 source. A good starting point for AIP's worldwide is always: https://www.eurocontrol.int/articles/ais-online, you can find the greek AIP there as well. If you are flying VFR to LGMK, you have to adhere to these procedures: Edited August 17, 20241 yr by Tom_L Asus ROG STRIX X870-E Gaming; Ryzen9 9950X3D; RX9070XT; 96GB RAM; 4GB/2GB M.2 SSD; 8GB HDD; LG 45GX90SA-B
August 17, 20241 yr Circle to land 34 for 16. Visual break off west of the field after approaching rwy 34. Right hand circuit, 3.5nm wide downwind. Base leg will not be perpendicular to final approach course, but rather a track of 110 degrees crossing the harbour. From there a gentle bank is sufficient to line up for a 1.5 -1.0nm final for runway 16. EASA PPL SEPL + NQ / CB-IR in progress MSFS24 | X-Plane 12
August 17, 20241 yr Author I did not mean a straight in approach. I was assuming that it would have to be something like a circle to land approach because of the high ground to the north of the airport. However, it would be a lot easier to visualise if I had a diagram (like I have for the runway 09 approach at LGSM Samos). August 17, 20241 yr Not my best artistic impression, but hopefully you get the jist of it It is not a standard squared pattern. Note: MK590 is actually a part of the Missed approach procedure for the RNAV RWY 34, it just happens to coincide somewhat with the visual track for RWY 16. August 17, 20241 yr Commercial Member Hi Christopher, here is a cockpit view of a 737 landing RWY16, pretty much what @SAS443 described https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYb1ZCSvLVU Cheers, Lars
