The island at the northern end of Exuma, one of the most beautiful places on earth for me, used to be called “Leeward Stocking Island”. And upwind of the prevailing south-easterly trade winds here in the Bahamas was “Windward Stocking Island”.

I am gradually approaching my destination for the day: Little Whale Cay, a 38-hectare (93-acre) island that is part of the Berry Islands

Little Whale Cay is a private island and is located 140 miles (230 km) southeast of Fort Lauderdale, and approximately 40 miles (64 km) north of Nassau.
