I am now using v3.0.9 of LNM. (Great program). (and using sim MSFS2020)

I just did a Scenery Library scan of all my scenery and get 89 errors.

" Found 89 errors and 10 notes in 95 scenery entries when loading the scenery database"

If you wish to report these errors attach the log and configuration files to your report, add all other available information and send it to the contact address below."

Anyways all of the 89 errors are the same: >> Shows: duplicate ident in the bgl file.  File is Malformed...

IE:

Scenery Title: Community
File: "F:/09-eu-a-i/all/germany/airports/edcv-pasewalk-franzfelde-uckermark-v1.1/scenery/hollyshomemade-edcv-pasewalk/EDCV.bgl"
Message: Duplicate airport ident "EDCV" in file "F:/09-eu-a-i/all/germany/airports/edcv-pasewalk-franzfelde-uckermark-v1.1/scenery/hollyshomemade-edcv-pasewalk/EDCV.bgl". File is malformed.

Is this something being identified in LNM V3.0.9 that was not previously identified in previous versions of LNM? Is it bad scenery? and should we be concerned about those scenery pieces that show the duplicated error: a duplicate airport ident found in file xxxx.bgl ?

Hi Norm,

I added reporting for this case since I've got crash reports related to these obscure files for LNM before. I have no idea what is going on in these BGL files.

As usual: Asobo did not care to document the BGL format and I have to rely on guesswork and unofficial and partially incomplete documentation. 🤷‍♂️
I can have a look at it for one of the next versions if you have a download link.

Ok Alex, thank-you.. I'm thinking it's some type of sdk issue. I say that because I had one scenery that I use at RTMM - showed duplicate Ident in file. So changed ident to another ident... then ran another LNM scan... Found that the original scenery was no longer generating a duplicate ident error but another one in the package that did not report an error on the initial scan, now reported a duplicate ident.... so one error fixed but a new one that was error free now generated and error which makes no sense. 

Anways, the scenery itself is fine and experiences not so CTD in MSFS or LNM and displays correctly on the LNM so will just leave things alone for now but will report if I find out more or experience any issues.

Will give it a try. Maybe there is some new feature in the BGL format I don't know yet.

Never saw this in the last version... I only activate it via Addons Linker if I choose to fly to the destination, so not much of an issue, I just "Keep Calm, And Carry On"..

Yep. I added this recently. Before LNM either crashed or simply ignore the malformed add-ons.
