OK...🙂...Let me explain. As far back as I can recall, in this great hobby of ours, especially for those of us who are not (or have never been) professional pilots...nor are aspiring ones...but who are (or have been) also professionals in our own rights...🙂... and use this SIM as a source of relaxation and pastime...one thing stands out. Traditional Boeing a/c cockpits (such as for 747/757/767/777) have always come in a brown-beige color scheme, whereas the Airbus a/c cockpits have come in a blue-grey color scheme. Now, take a quick glimpse at my shot #s (1, 3, 4) below. Do they not look like, maybe, they belong to a Boeing airplane...🙂...? Oh well...while I've now amassed ~200 repaints of the (iniBuilds) A320 V2, at a mere cost of just 2-3 dollars in the Marketplace, I noticed that a subset of these repaints has provided the option to convert the blue of the A320 V2 cockpit to an unthinkable brown...🙂...typical of a Boeing color scheme. So, I thought I would give it a try today...just for fun...

And for quite some time, I have been meaning to fly the livery of ITA Airways, the current flag carrier of Italy that was founded after the collapse of Alitalia which is well-known to all of us as the once-proud (long-time) national airline of Italy. ITA, for its livery, exhibits a stunning blue color...a "pearlescent" (new word for me...🙂...) livery that has been occasionally featured here in this forum. Anyway, in my A320 V2 repaint pack, I caught a (curious) variation of the original (Italian) blue of ITA (see my images, below). This livery displays the slogan, "Everything you wish for is just a flight away", and the rear fuselage of the a/c is adorned by a conglomeration of graphic elements and artistic symbols (see e.g., the last picture of my pictures set, below) dedicated to the "Friuli Venezia Giulia" region of northeastern Italy.

For today's flight, I've chosen to fly the A320 V2 from Zurich (LSZH), over and across the Alps Mountain Range which forms the border between Switzerland and Italy, to my destination, Milan Malpensa Airport (LIMC) of Italy. SimBrief suggested ILS 35R (Northward) Runway of LIMC. However, I've chosen to land on the southward ILS 17L Runway (in the general direction of my route), which caused a bit of (extra) challenge for this (virtual) aviator...🙂...because Milan City and Airport are located in the plains of Po River valley, but within just 20-25 miles beyond the southern edge of the Alps mountains. So, while flying in from the north over and past these mountains (see a few shots), pilot judgement is needed for planning a (rapid) descent and then promptly capturing the ILS signals of Runway 17L. Despite this challenge, the landing went well and was good fun...🙂...

Thanks for viewing this collection of A320neo (V2) images...and I hope "Everything you wish for is just a flight away"...🙂...!

Very interesting, P_7878! The panel is indeed a bit strange for an Airbus. Funnily it appears that part of the side and center panels are still in blue-gray.😉

Very nice again P_7878 and a brown Airbus panel looks good as well. Didn't even install the new v2 version, maybe I should do that soon.

Thanks, bernd. Good eyes as always...🙂...Yes, the developer had a note saying some of the pre-existing liveries and cockpit textures may have some baked-in stuff in blue, that will conflict...Actually the enhancement does not work on all liveries...

Thanks, Andreas. Yes, the iniBuilds V2 is much superior to the Asobo stock A320neo. It's after all free and worth installing unless you are already flying with the Fenix.

...🙂...Surely sounds good to me, though, not sure, the Oxford Dictionary will approve of such (creative) coinage of words...🙂...

Cheers, folks ...!!
