Next attempt to fix is reverting Nvidia driver to the previous one

 

Update: that also doesn't fix it, MSFS is broken to a limit that it is unusable now!

I would hazard a guess that it is server related,

On Saturday afternoon I did a flight in the Fenix and it was smooth as butter, I just loaded into the sim and now when panning around the cockpit it stutters horribly. When I checked my frame time variance I can see something is going on, Nothing changed since Saturday with my PC and settings in MSFS and then I had an absolutely flat FTV in River but today it is a different picture, just not consistent.

Time to turn off the PC and try again in a day or so.

I think that’s very likely. Every now and then, when flying over remote areas with fps around 100 and very low FTV, I suddenly get stutters and pauses.

Hey My friend !

The sim has been a joke today compared to Saturday, I was tweaking my current FPS settings and found that locked at 66 FPS my FTV never shifted, it was a complete flatline and beautifully smooth as silk. Today I booted up the sim and it has been all over the place.

Above has been repeating every 30 sec to 1 minute for the past half hour.....0219z.  My internet connection running at 433 Mbps.  MSFS is connected to server USA East.  Tomorrow is another day.

I am seeing this as well, as are many other people (see the other thread), but this Connection Lost message doesn't seem to degrade the performance in any noticeable way. No stutters, freezes, or low frame rates, just the annoying pup-up. Here, anyway, YMMV.

This probably has to do with the connection lost problem that has been widely reported in an above post.

And the problem is back for me. 

Yesterday there was another windows update I think. I kind of doubt its directly the MSFS but more windows itsself

at: onlythejker: Again I am asking the question, are you using SIMFX ? It's exactly the same stutter  in your video, like I had it in my case with SIMFX and immersion packages.

Frame time variability ie the difference between two consecutive frame times. In general, large difference correlates with stutters. So I try to tune my settings to have as low FTV as possible.

When I troubleshoot stutters I usually bring up a frame time graph using the RTSS overlay.

Looks like for me the root cause was FSUIPC and some unnecessary events which were logged

As usual for this time of day, I can lock in at 80 fps in dense scenery using FSFG. (Its about 11 UTC). Tonight at about 19 UTC fps will drop, stutters will happen unless I turn down my graphic settings, probably.

That's about normal for me. I'm not sure why. I think the hourly difference relates to my local ISP. Or perhaps the neighbors are streaming at that hour. All the internet connections on this short street are tied into one cable, buried in the ground by our local utility which has a monopoly. Nobody has a dish, it's forbidden because the neighborhood thinks they are ugly and a rule against them are written into every real estate property deed. One builder constructed every house on this street.

I do but it turned out to be caused by FSUIPC for me. Since I deactivated some parts of it, no stutters anymore
