August 26, 20241 yr Whilst it probably would not be the greatest financial decision ever made, I would still love to see an MSFS version of the Jetstream 41. That has been at the back of the PMDG hangar for far too long. August 26, 20241 yr A plane that has been tickling my fancy lately is the MD-90. I kind of hope Leonardo does it at some point but if not perhaps eventually TFDi will take it on? I believe I read the AutoPilot is basically the same as the MD-11 so TFDi has that mastered. I have flown on a few of them in my time. Once flying SAS out of Bergen Norway on our way to Copenhagen. It was the first flight of the day and it was required to poor it on during takeoff. We climbed like a homesick angel. Almost totally vertical and it was an amazing experience. Next time on Delta out of Salt Lake City. It was not as aggressive as the flight out of Bergen but still pretty solid and it was a 90F day in Salt Lake City that day! The DC-9 series needs to be done as well but I don't see PMDG doing that one either!
August 26, 20241 yr Whilst Zen 4 and Zen 5 processors seem to get around a 10% improvement, is thete anything in it for Zen 3 users or is that just wishful thinking? I'm not sure if this is an AMD thing or just of help to the newer chips. Edit: A bit of research suggests all AMD processors may get some benefit, but we will have to see how earlier ones do. It was also mentioned recently on some forum somewhere that it will strictly be the Nolinor combi configuration limiting what can be done with it. I am starting to think the Blackbird 737-200 is vaporware at this point as it has been an ongoing project for 2 or 3 years but who knows maybe it will just drop this upcoming fall season. If the upcoming 757 of @sherv_BBS Bluebird features a panel state saving function and the ability to load flightplans without being forced to use SimBrief, there's no need for a PMDG 757. Visuals will be perfect and so will the soundset be.

They have an open air domestic terminal or at least back then they did. At that moment an Aloha 737-200 did a complete 180 degree turn and the noise those JT8D's made was incredible. I hope to experience that in MSFS someday!
August 26, 20241 yr Surely there is someone in our vast community who spends their working life staring at the a*se end of airliners undergoing maintenance, and can recognise what they are seeing in those photos? The avionics of that plane are in fact very similar to the MD-11. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Oh okay...I actually thought they both had the same autopilot but now that I think about it perhaps it would make more sense that the MD-90 autopilot is the same as the MD-80. Now that I dug into my memory really deep I remember reading an article a long time ago only Saudi Arabian Airlines had its MD-90s made with the MD-11 style autopilot. I think that was the case? I am surprised nobody has solved the puzzle yet. Its pretty much 100% speculation on my part that its a 737 Classic in the works. I can only say I am confident I have seen that bolt pattern before and back in the day I flew on a lot of 737 Classics.

The Delta MD90 cockpit was identical to the MD88 IIRC on day of retirement of both fleets.
