Hi Ron-This is what I am using right now-gives me 25-40 fps 98% of the time. Only tweak I applied is to turn off building autogen in the fsx cfg. file. This gives me no performance increase one way or the other-but I feel it gives a reality increase as with the scenery complexity maxed-all airport buildings/city buildings are there-but the photo real scenery shows up better at altitude.http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182569.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182570.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182571.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182572.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182573.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182574.jpg

Geofa,Thanks for the info.I have mine set up pretty close to yours except the Autogen which I am running at normal. If I use your building tweak maybe I can run it at max,What was it again? My original FR problem was a bad sound driver. My computer guy fixed it by getting into my computer at home from his store.Amazing!(At least to me).Now I am running 17-55 fps depending on area. What an improvement over old unit.I did start from scratch and didn't take all that long.Finished final touches last night. My wife has recently taken up Bridge and has been hogging my computer so as an additional bonus to all this I now have her set up with my old unit,So in the winter here we are snuggled up on our computers in the basement by the fire til golf season.Ron

Here is the setting-Note!: some say setting the buildings to 0 causes crashes and the lowest value should be 1-I haven't had any troubles though.[TERRAIN]TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=4500TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=0000Good idea about the two computers-that is how I worked it out with my wife too! :-lolhttp://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/1b5baf...b9f427f694g.jpgMy blog:http://geofageofa.spaces.live.com/

Isn't the 16X AA causing you a performance hit? I've had much better luck with 8XS, which will AA the edges of stuff like trees and whatnot with its supersampling component. Anything above that and I start to see a performance drop from how much the card is doing.
