Nice bit of exploration, pmplayer.

I got this and am still exploring. Very impressive exteriors and general modelling, but I'm finding the interiors a bit of a pain in some places. I'm finding I can see some interiors from the outside, but when I take the drone inside the building sometimes it will do so and sometimes not. Or it will go inside and show a modelled interior ok, but as soon as I try to move around in that interior I get bounced to the outside, sometimes above the roof, sometimes just out the nearest wall. It's as if it's got excludes in place that sometimes work and sometimes don't.

I can live with it, sort of, and it is very impressive otherwise, but it's not all it's cracked up to be as far as I'm concerned. Bit of a disappointment in that sense, and certainly not up to the images posted in the sales blurb and previews.

Maybe I'll try an uninstall/reinstall.

I think you don't need to do that again, uninstall and reinstall it's probably fine but I know you think differently than me..

But you have to think about one thing, you see what a huge airport it is and you also see or notice how good the performance is and it is great to say the least and that is the most important thing for such a big airport. Now you can of course put a lot of things in it, but what's the point if it's no longer fluid afterwards? So from my point of view it's great, you can use it and, strictly speaking, the other internal stuff is completely unimportant because you can't see most of it anyway. I need an airport this big that's smooth and not one with everything pie, pa, poe that then jerks and jerks because it's just too full of useless stuff. I think it's balanced just right, and the developers did a very good job of it !!

cheers 😉

I know, what you mean, Andy. These really big airports must be a challenge for developers when they want to include some interiors. I would love to see some LH or SQ lounges in Frankfurt, so I can take a virtual peak and see how close they are to reality. I think when it comes to interior details, this Polish developer Dwesinsky (or whatever his name is) does a superb job. For example, his Renton Boeing production facility is one of the best for me, when you want to see interior details.

Great pics, how are the frame rates and smoothness?

Darryl

The frame and smoothnes ( now on my new PC ) is just outstanding fine, could not be much better i would say, i do not look at it all the time, but if i look i see from high 40 to some 80fps, ( FSLTL is on ) and the density where i am at this moment i look at make this difference..

So i'm just a happy Camper.. 🤩

cheers 😉

Just superb pictures of Frankfurt am Main...pmplayer...! I think it's safe for me to say these are the best images of this Mega airport I've ever seen in the SIM. Also, glad the performance is fluid for you along w/ your GSX paraphernalia...

I know you must have been eagerly waiting for such a scenery forever, but that's true for me too...🙂...I must have transited through EDDF a minimum of 20 times over 2 decades with LH.

shot #4 - From inside those building in the background, in the nice lounges and eat & drink areas, I would be looking out at the busy activity of airplanes and sipping a German brew and enjoying a bratwurst...🙂...while waiting for my onward connection...typically ~3 hours long layover. There used to be also a nice LH/UA Star Alliance lounge, but I recall I'd to cross securities, and take the train, to another terminal for it... (LH would check our passports 3 times during stopover those days, but I never had a problem with this policy, and was in fact glad for the strict levels of security in those troubled times), so, I just stayed nearby the boarding gates in the same terminal...nicely shown in your shot #8...

shot #10 - Yes, one of those 330s in the row in that picture must be for me...🙂...I cannot see if there are any 340s in these pictures...maybe LH has already discontinued them as of now...both 330s/340s were equally numerous around there as I recall, in the older Yellow/Blue colors...🙂...miss that livery...

Thanks for sharing...! Enjoy the best of EDDF in our SIM...!

Very nicely representing shots...a pitty is the lack of people inside the terminal(s) despite the internals are also fine modelled.

Great set of shots pmplayer.  It looks a high quality product right enough.

An interesting livery too - I don't recall seeing this livery before.  Cheers,
