I am pretty sure that major developers like PMDG and Fenix are already working with advance copies of 2024, to ensure compatibility. Now the payware airports might be another story, but thankfully I haven't bought more than a few of those, if that many.

The Fenix aircraft are the only ones I use, only a few 3rd party airports I have and, if they are not compatible with FS2024, I don't think I will miss them 🙂

Kind regards,
Hans van WIjhe

Did anyone get the CL-415 for 2020 from their preorder?

I'd love to see some pics in the avsim screenshot forum or here

I didn't know this was available.

I flew the CL215 in the real world. Fun challenging flying.

A warning though, if you own anything on the marketplace on the MS Store those purchases won't carry over to the Steam version marketplace.

Where is this stated? I can't find it anywhere, at least not in the FAQ... I'd like to know because I'm considering a Steam purchase this time. If anyone has a link, that would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Bert

The elephant in the room is going to be how stable the servers are, and how stable your internet connection is. I just checked my ISP and I am going to be upgrading to 4GB up and down, and that means upgrading my router as well. But will it matter if the MS servers are getting crushed? Will be interesting to see how this plays out, especially given the server/connectivity issues so many experienced with 2020.

Yes the uk price for the aviator edition takes it to the same price as the collector edition from aerosoft in Germany.

You have to pay £20 shipping and possibly VAT when it arrives in the uk, but for only a few quid more I thought I’d get the collector’s trinkets.

Personal experience here. I had the Store version. I moved to Steam and lost the EGPH I had on the MS Store version. My understanding it while the stores are the same, because you buy using your Xbox vs Steam Wallet (or something like this) the store back end is different.

The technical details may be wrong, but when I moved to Steam I lost a handful of purchases.

Yeah, that is correct. Not sure why the exact reason is but things purchased in the Store version marketplace are not available in the Steam version's marketplace store. It's a weird system, to be honest.

Bummer, that ****. I mean that is very inconvenient... If we can make sims like these isn't it possible to overcome store problems as well?

The aviator's edition title says it includes everything from the Premium Deluxe Edition plus the entire fleet of 30 Microsoft-published Marketplace aircraft developed for Microsoft Flight Simulator between 2021 and 2024.

Question please? My prior purchases of some of those 30 Microsoft-published Marketplace aircraft developed for Microsoft Flight Simulator between 2021 and 2024, will still be usable in new FS2024? I will be able to download again from the Marketplace in FS2024 in any lower FS2024 edition? My account is the MS Store one.

Thanks,

I just preordered the Aviator's Edition but I didn't think about which version it would be. I don't want the Microsoft version, I want the Steam version. Who do you think I would contact to remove the purchase so I can wait for the steam version?

UPDATE: I just cancelled the preorder through my Microsoft account. I will now wait for the Steam version.

Looking at all the pre-release info, it appears that so much more of the content (live fauna etc.) will need a [decent] live Internet connection. Nice in theory, but most of us have suffered with repeated connectivity issues with the servers. Unless the whole server infrastructure is significantly improved, I can see yet more problems.

We can all invest in sooper-dooper routers and expensive Internet plans, but if the servers can't take the load then it's all a waste of time.
