YMML coming to P3Dv6 (and v5). Global base installer for v6

You probably have to have v6 installed for ORBX direct to see if

According to the change log for the current version of Orbx Central, it is still unable to detect V6. I have V6 installed on a separate drive from V5. I tried using the simulator detection feature on Orbx Central and entered the path for V6, but it simply won't detect it. This makes any products showing V6 compatibility unusable. If one of you geniuses knows a way to make this work, I'd sure like to hear it. Thanks.

Thanks for the follow up.

I do have P3D6.1 (Personal) installed but it is not listed in Orbx Central.

I do have MSFS2020 listed in Orbx Central but no products purchased for it yet.

Do you have P3D6 listed in Orbx Central?

Thanks for the additional information.

"Orbx Central, it is still unable to detect V6" ... same for my setup.

I have Orbx products for P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 listed in the Orbx Central.

I hope when P3D6 is listed in Orbx Central then my Orbx purchases for P3Dv4 and P3Dv5 can be migrated and work in Orbx Central for P3D6.

ORBX announced on February 24, 2024 in the changelog for ORBX Central that they rolled back the detection of P3DV6 in version 4.2.10 because it was causing issues with the final stages of product testing even if you had P3DV6 installed.

We will need an ORBX Central update before P3DV6 is detected.

Specs: black box thingy with spinning fans, lights and a bunch of wires that go to screens with pretty colours and a keyboard with many keys. The black box thingy also has a push button activated coffee cup holder.

Fingers crossed its ok on VRAM.  Looks good!

Afraid not since I don’t have V6 installed right now.

Thanks for the follow up.

Now that you mention it I do recall initially seeing P3D6 in ORBX Central back then ... and shortly after, its removal.

So, now still in the Orbx's holding pattern waiting for the return of P3D6 in ORBX Central.

Note:

ORBX Central for P3D6 will also need Orbx Global Base Pack, Libraries and Object Flow.

YMML V3 for P3Dv5 was added to my ORBX Central over the weekend!

Looks very well done, an ORBX late easter egg bonus ?

Hopefully performance is good .

No mention of price but I hope to be using some of my saved "Orbs".

Orbx Central V4.3.5 released. It's still a "No Go" for P3DV6. Not surprised.

I just started Orbx Central, it downladed the update V4.3.5. Using P3D V6. When I look at my installed airports, it says "Installed into an Orbx Library. XYZ is installed into Prepar3D V6"...

On top of Orbx Central it still says "Prepar3D V5".

"When I look at my installed airports"

Did you mean the Orbx top Menu item My Products?

I do not see this:

"Installed into an Orbx Library. XYZ is installed into Prepar3D V6"
