Will Bing Map clouds be removed in FS2024?

Recommended Posts

I quite agree that Bing Maps should be updated and hopefully wil be in 2024 using the very latest aerial imagery. However i am still a little sceptical that Asia will again be ignored and instead we will have automated AI interpolation. I know it is possible to have very high resolution mapping for this whole area and the Map enhancer App certainly seems to prove this. As for negotiated rights to use this maps..well whose is to know the real reasons other than Microsoft and. Asobo

It has already been confirmed that it will, they'll also be updating the 2020 around the same time.

I use the latest new images from bing for some time as many here and we already know that there are areas that improve the current MFS2020 and other areas worsen quite a lot.

I really hope they have made corrections of colors and  clouds, if not then we will have what is now a lottery depending on the area you fly, it would be nonsense to have these spectacular graphics and when you climb to 3000 fit or more to find orthos with color changes clouds etc..

I’ve always been a bit disappointed with the tech they used to mask clouds on the orthos. The textures it creates are so low res. It must be possible to have the AI make a composite of the surrounding textures rather than having a small library of low res replacements.

Totally agree. I am hopeful this is improved in 2024, but we will have to wait and see. Can't tell from the hand picked areas they are currently showcasing and they are unlikely to show us any subpar areas.
