October 27, 20241 yr Post a pic of this location @MrBitstFlyer and I'll do the same. I would be interested to see what the difference is. What airport do you take off from, and how far do you fly (and what direction 🙂 ) before you see this? I'll try and replicate it 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

October 27, 20241 yr I decided to take a flight from EGPB Sumburgh to EGPD Aberdeen this evening in the PMDG 737-600. Everything was going fine until one of those red "disconnected" messages appeared on screen just after I had made a turn to the right at the ADN VOR to intercept the approach path from GLESK for an ILS 34 landing at Aberdeen. This was followed by a green "reconnected" message......and then another red one.....and so on. I started seeing a few patches of default terrain textures, followed by a large black rectangle just off the coast. When I lined up for the final approach, I was greeted with the city of Aberdeen in a sea of default textures. I exited the flight at that point. No way on Earth am I going to accept a completed flight with that rubbish on display Edited October 27, 20241 yr by Christopher Low Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

No I’m genuinely curious - share a screenshot and I’ll go check it out. Not trying to be snarky 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

You won't see these messages, plus you'll have some higher resolution images. October 28, 20241 yr Here's a quick set of screenshots from the San Diego area @MrBitstFlyer. I can see the usual giant MSFS broccoli trees and all that, and also in the second to last image some tree obelisks but I dont' really see badly melted buildings, and not every tree is badly done. If I'm just flying and not really staring hard at the screen for flaws, it looks fine. Could it be improved? Of course, but it's really not "unflyable" or something like that. Do you see something very different on your machine? 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

And in my particular case when I got the disconnects it was usually not disconnected for very long. You may well have a more serious disco problem from what you describe, but the above marcing ui blocker may help. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

Do you see something very different on your machine? What I see is very different from this, everything is so melted you can not even see that those things down there are buildings. It happens for me almost everytime. So I have disabled photogrammetry because it doesnt work at all for me…. Very annoying and has bothered me since release of MSFS 2020. So Im really worried about 2024.

This was (hopefully) a temporary glitch, as it seems that our internet connection was affected in other ways last night at roughly the same time. I am confident that everything will be fine when I repeat the flight this evening. Our hardware is different, our internet service is different, we're likely to have different OS setups (AV, etc), different MSFS settings, different add-ons, the variables are endless... I run with ultra graphics, no FG, little or no AI traffic, and use AMD Chill to limit fps to 30 so my GPU runs cool and quiet at about 50% utilisation. Your location says Norway so I wonder if the issue is with whatever CDN serves the data to your part of the world. You do see the tree obelisks and that was my point - doesn't matter how fast the connection, melted buildings/tree obelisks will be evident. 99% of my time in MSFS is spent at low altitude flying GA aircraft, so the photogrammetry issues are easily seen. Seems your connection gives you better photogrammetry results than my connection/location. I do see melted buildings in that area (Most look good), but otherwise our results are similar. If you use Bijan's trees you won't see the poor veggie trees so much 🙂.
