FSX 4 planes missing

Recommended Posts

Guest 1929clhenry

Under Sim Objects/Airplanes a DG80S, DH_Dash 8_100, MD-83 and a Piper PA28_180 are listed along with all the other planes in FSX.Even though listed and with all files & folders etc. THEY DO NOT SHOW UP IN THE LIST OF AIRCRAFT WHEN THE SIM IS RUNNING. DOES ANYONE ELSE SHOW THESE PLANES. Every other airplane in FSX show up ok with all versions.Could these be something left over from old FS2004 that was originally on HD and deleted???Thanks in advance.Chuck

The DG808S is a glider and should appear in the FSX aircraft selection menu under the manufacturer DG Flugzeugbau

>>If you want to turn them into flyable >aircraft you need to do some modifications. >Check the file library first, as someone >else may have done this already. >HolgerBecause FSX modeled these planes as AI a panel and sound folder will bring them into the FSX aircraft menu and they are flyable. That however presents a diffenet problem including the upload in the AVSIM library. These planes are not modeled correctly for Gear Down. Once the plane is airborne and Gear Up there is no way to gear the Gear back down again. This applies to both the Dash 8 and the MD 83. It could be a model.mdl or a .air file entry missing.
