As far as I am aware, credit card theft is really rare in this kind of company. It used to be more common, but things have changed. Why? Because when it happens, the provider is usually quick to void the keys. It's actually in the interest of the grey market company to avoid keys acquired via credit card theft.

This doesn't make using them morally spic and span, but it's not that extreme.
