Man, that looks great! One of the first liveries I'd have been looking for when it's out.

Thank you.

  • Just watching XP72 stream on youtube, and whilst not a massive fan of the 737. I have to say from what i've seen, the Ifly looks really really good, looks way ahead of PMDG products. It amazes me how

What I see in all YouTube videos is the best simulated airplane ever made, visually so next-level that it has created a new standard, and all it´s cockpit systems and simulated navigation software is absolute top-notch.

Only a few pilots mentioned strange behaviour of the fire test switch, pulling it to the left should only illuminate on a few overheat warning lamps while pulling the switch to the right rings the alarm, in the simulated 737 pulling it in both directions rings the alarm. And "A330 Driver" mentioned that clicking on the flight recorder switch on the overhead panel should "do something / trigger something" (but I don´t know what, maybe a sound or a message popping up on one MFD screen or something.)

Otherwise no flaws bugs and problems where mentioned in all the videos I have watched.

This gorgeous airplane - probably the best release that ever was - brought me back from DCS to the Flight Simulator! 🙂

Hopefully a release is around the corner. And that it’ll be available from other vendors apart from Flight1.

Have you watched the entire video from A330 driver? There was a bit more than that. E.g. it overshoots simple turns, banking back into the opposite direction afterwards, the VNAV path recalculation gets borked when you enter a manual altitude constraint, and some other minor issues. None of this is a game breaker, of course, but I wouldn't call it the best airplane ever made, far from it. The PMDG 737 is probably still more accurate in systems fidelity. All that said, it's a product made with love, it's looking good, sounding good and it's the only MAX after all. So a day one purchase for me.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

But is it independent information or does he have some kind of link with Ifly ?

Waiting somewhat patiently for the release to see how good it is.

After watching 2 videos with full flights with this bird I have to say the price tag is too high.

At least at this point. VNAV in decent is not ready for release, the engines spool up way too fast and there is lots of other minor unfinished stuff.

If you want customers to pay PMDG level pricing, you have to deliver PMDG level system functionality or at least polish upon release.

And the release candidate they reviewed is not up to those standards.

I don't doubt that it will get there, but if you aim for the high price range, you can't release unfinished and unpolished aircraft like that. It should cook another 3-6 months. Or they should drop the price by 30 bucks.

He doesn't have any affiliation. He mentions it at the start of the first live stream he did. He is allowed to say what he wants and doesn't get paid. He even mentions its ahead of the PMDG 737 when that was released. Refinements required.

Regardless of a comparison to PMDG (and I think arguments could be made both ways about being better or worse than PMDG), I think the price is too high. It's even higher than the Fenix, which I think is broadly considered to be the best airliner currently in MSFS2020 (graphically and operationally).

With the pending release of FS2024 I was trying to talk myself into holding off a bit but the more I see the more I want this plane.  2 days ago I said I will at least hold off until someone paints one in Alaska Airlines livery.  Of coarse yesterday a few preview videos showed up on YouTube using an Alaska Airlines plane.  So it looks like a day one purchase for me at this point.  It will work in FS2024 at least soon after release anyway!

Gotta support good developers and if we want a Max 9 and eventually the others we will have to blow the lid off the servers on release day.  Yes, I will pay for that Max 9 if and when it comes out!

I REALLY hope Flight1 isn't the only storefront. It requires its own app too and even though I have an account, all my stuff there was purchased for P3D and there is no reason to buy anything there. They literally have ZERO MSFS products and this would be the only one. I really hope I don't need to reinstall their stupid agent. I already have Orbx, Aerosoft One, SimMarket... And I have a ton of JF Purchases. I would even buy directly from iFly if I didn't have to purchase through Flight1's janky portal.

That's just unrealistic. Given what other developers have charged and what iFly is aiming for, $30 less makes it cheaper than even one of the FSS E-Jets packs.

It might need more work, but there's plenty of positive praise being given to it by many different reviewers.
