Atlantic Beach Getaway – New England Edition

Atlantic Beach Getaway – New England Edition

The tour features two parts – one in helicopters and the other in business jets.

We begin this flight with a helicopter tour of Manhattan.  Starting from the Downtown Manhattan Heliport (KJRB) the tour proceeds up the East River over the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges to the UN where we turn and follow 42nd Street past the Chrysler Building and Grand Central Terminal to just past Bryant Park (the Empire State will be off away to your left.  We will follow 6th Avenue north over Central Park to the Harlem River where we turn east towards the George Washington Bridge. We backtrack flying over the Hudson turning east at the Chelsea Piers to land at Teterboro where we will transition into business jets.  Very highly recommend the SamScene3D New York City Times payware scenery.   If you have it make sure to activate it for this flight.

Departing Teterboro in your preferred business jet we proceed down the Hudson past the Verrazzano Bridge and fly along Rockaway and Jones Beaches before landing at Long Island Mac Arthur (KISP).  We then head across Long Island Sound to New Haven Tweed (KHVN) then it is back to the tip of Long Island for a landing at Montauk Airport (KMTP).  We fly over Block Island Sound over-flying Block Island State Airport (it is too short for our jet) and continue to Martha's Vineyard Airport (KMVY).  It is a short hop to Nantucket Memorial (KACK) followed by a longer leg to Provincetown Mun (KPVC).  Our destination is busy Boston Logan Airport (KBOS).  We will try to avoid unduly annoying the controllers there.

I will include my usual two weather themes with the flight plans and a bonus summer cloud setting:

  •        Custom Jeff Scattered 2.WPR  (multiple cloud layers – moody – a little dark)
  •        Jeff's Partly Cloudy.WPR  (fewer clouds – with more sun getting through – brighter than Scattered 2)
  •        Summer Clouds.WPR
