FS2020 crashing with high xr tools render scale.

Featured Replies

Right, I've given up with the official forums, its just run by word not allowed totally devoid of any human emotion. Maybe this forum could help instead.

I use VR on a Reverb G2, 4090, i9 13900KF, 32GB ram etc. Its ran fine for ages but all of a sudden the sim crashed to desktop (no errors or anything) as soon as VR was launched. It would load fine in "D but as soon as I entered VR it was a straight crash. I'm using the latest DLSS file as well if it makes any difference.

I narrowed this down to the render scale in open XR tools (the purple one), I don't use the toolkit. Any sort of high setting over 150% crashes, although in the past I've been way above 200 before although it was a bit jittery.

Eventually after a couple of days it loaded in fine and I was able to get the render scale at 200% again on DLSS quality which is where I was before. However I've just been messing about with it again and put it up to 210% where it crashed again. Now I can't get it up above 160% without it crashing. How can it be it was happy at 200% 10 minutes ago but now it won't go anywhere near that.

Just to add one time when it was crashing it did actually manage to launch but was doing this.
