The buildings seem to shoot out as lines up to the sky. This doesn't always happen, but usually during initial load time, but it sometimes comes back gain, seems to be mostly in high object/low fps areashttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/183380.jpgCore 2 Duo @ 3.2GHz (speedstep enabled)2GB DDR800 RAM250GB HDD8800GTS 320MB @ 628/980GHzForceware 169.4Settings are mostly high or ultra high, with no bloom, 2xAA, in-game anisotropy Anyone else with similar issues or any ideas?

My first guess would be that your system is to slow to process the graphics. Second guess would be turning down the over-clocking values on the video card. Third guess would be custom scenery.

I've had the same thing with trees around CL77 (just south of SFO). This is stock scenery + UTX + FSGenesis under SP2, sparse autogen, no traffic, moderate settings. My gfx card is a 512MB 7950GTX Go (Forceware 156.69 - the beta drivers won't install, since this is a laptop)My thought was that it's a driver issue...

It could also be the aircraft you are using......

In my case, this just started happening lately so I'm sure it's a driver issue. I've rolled back to the beta 169.13's as IIRC they were OK. I'll continue to check.I also notice that when it happens the frames drop down to the 1 - 2 range. When it happens, if I ESC/COntinue or min/max the window a few times it will usually reset itself. It can be frustrating because it doesn't happen all the time or on every flight - but it's really annoying when it does. For me it continued to happen with the 169.21 & 28 drivers, both the beta's and the WHQL versions - but every system is different.Good luck and if you find a fix - let us know!VicQ6600 G0 CPU 2.4 o/c 3.65Evga 680i A1 with P31 BIOS 2G XP2-8500 DDR2 1066FSB Mushkin 996535 RAM 5-5-4-12-2T320G 7200 HD partitioned for XP/Vista/Programs 2 - 74G Raptors in RAID0 500G 7200 HD for backup SATA DVD burner Evga 8800GTS 640 PCIx 169.13 betaKandalf LCS case w/ built in liquid cooling 850W Thermaltake power supplyVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-supporter-sigbanner.jpgRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/

I had that problem in FS9 around Maui, Hawaii, and it ended up being a redundant AFCAD file problem. Try and recall if you added any scenery or scenery packages and look for duplicate AFCAD files in the directory where you normally install them or in the folders that comprise any new sceneries installed. Try flying through the spikes, it's a trip, like the Devil's Triangle - everything goes bananas!Good Luck,http://www.my-buddy-icon.com/Icons/objects/red_3d_plane.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD

I've had this happen with AL's trees package, in hard winter. Certain trees seemed to extend up to infinity. Removed the package and it went away. I was also getting low FPS, but that was effect rather than cause. The artefacts seemed to slow the whole system down, and I'd get an OOM shortly therefter. Once I'd removed the package, I got much higher FPS in the same place under the same conditions.Petraeus

I've had this happen to me at KLGA. At the same time, the textures on my plane went blurry and the ATC text and tool tips became illegible. The airport buildings and AI planes stayed sharp. I blamed it on my old P4 2.6 ghz and trying to fly in such a busy area. I haven't tried KLGA yet with my new computer.JimDell XPS 420 Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 ghz3 gb dual channel 800 mhz DDR2 RAM512 mb nvidia 8800GT500 gb SATA drive 7200 rpmSoundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music22" Acer widescreen LCDWindows Vista Home Premium

It is the trees, and I also get floating trees near the seattle area mountains. Any known fixes? I'll try new drivers.

i've had the exact same issue right after installing SP2 (fsx).i hav'nt been able to fix it but the thing is that it only appears for short moments when i pan my view around very fast. Also after the game engine "warms up" they slowly stop appearing.

What graphics card do you use? With one of the last Nvidia drivers i had to restart my PC after i used Google Earth to get no problems with FSX and other 3D apps.I guess Nvidia is not TWIMTBP...

Don't use replacement textures? How can anyone suggest that with a straight face? First backward compatibilty is yanked somewhat abrubtly, if not unexpectantly, now we shouldn't use replacement textures? last time I looked the scenery textures in FSX weren't so hot. I don't know, but to me, this is all starting to sound a bit homogenized...Maybe MS should tell us where to fly as well so as to not upset the delicate balance of things in FSX. Oh wait, isn't that what the Missions are for? Common guys, diversity is the spice of life. 8 million people in New York City can't all be wrong.Sorry to Opine,http://www.my-buddy-icon.com/Icons/objects/red_3d_plane.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD
