Hi Guys,

Looking or a little advice.Ive never had a CTD for over 12 months, after intalling Rex Atmos they started again all the time with the error breakpoint has been reached. So i decided to do a test.5 flights with Rex working got 2 CTD with the same error.Same flights again with Rex not active,no CTD at all.Just to retest again same 5 flights with Rex active,3 CTD with same error.Next same 5 flights with Rex not active,no CTD.So i have come to the conclusion that my CTD is Rex Atmos, has anyone else been having CTD with Atmos active.Just to add my next 3 flights have had no problems at all,not using Rex Atmos.

With Thanks

Gary Jones.

I used Atmos for five days. In those days, twice my ethernet adapter stopped working (but FS did not crash), an third time I had a CTD and again my ethernet was messed up.

Never happened before, never happened again since I stopped using Atmos, eight days ago.

Sorry about your issues guys, but no, no CTDs or other issues while using it.

Everybody's PC is different with different background apps running, so this can happen whether it involves "memory injection" or not.

The last program I had giving me CTDs a few months ago was RealTurb, so I had to uninstall it.  All fine since then, but once again, nobody else seems to have problems with RealTurb. Frustrating! Even more so because there was no trace of why. There was nothing even in Event Viewer afterwards.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I can confirm experiencing CTD with Atmos running. I don’t, however have any issues with crashes when Atmos is not running. Error log shows weather Atmos engine app crash, taking down couatl engine with it.

About half my sessions with ATMOS running end in a black screen locked up system requiring a restart.  That behavior is unknown here when using the sim, with no ATMOS, or any other app.  I've tried to trap the failure but can't seen to get any data, unlike almost every other failure I try to trap.

Are you guys that are having issues on the latest drivers?

I downgraded 2 drivers back as i was getting lock ups.

And thought it was atmos as i purchased same time i downloaded the latest driver.

To add to the previous responses.

I've been using Rex ATMOS since release and never experience any issues as described.

I also use GSX and haven't had any issues with Couatl, ethernet connections or any other adverse affects.

Yeah I’ve stopped using it for the same reason. Shame really.

I’ve tracked it down to either when I turn back on my screen (which I do to save my oled while on long flights) and when I reconnect my headset. (USB).

I can confirm the same behavior, it happens also when turning back on my oled screen, or when I use the wireless mouse/keyboard, which goes to sleep if unused for a while.

Its amazing that some wonder why their sim is a crashy disaster but look no futher than products like REX. I promise you dont need it to enjoy MSFS. Your wallet, simulator and patience will thank you. However I get it the logic You spent the money so you want to use it otherwise the money is lost. I havent purchased a single thing since upgrading from P3D in 2020 and with threads like this I dont plan to anytime soon.

My sim is not a "crashy disaster" and I use other products from REX as well as other addons without any issues.

Fascinating - I recently upgraded my RAM for MSFS24 and decided to do a clean install of Windows on top. Whilst watching it all reinstall I decided to get Atmos and used it for the first flight after. I also turn my screen off during longer cruise (OLED) and had a CTD the moment I turned it back on. It didn't happen again after but I did have Atmos down on the potential culprit list - other than a botched Win11 install or faulty RAM! Glad it seems to be "just" Atmos and 2 others reporting the same issue can't be a coincidence.

I'll stop using for now as I never had issues with CTDs before and have no desire to start playing that lottery.
