October 15, 20241 yr It flies nice, I could perform an autolanding without problems. There is a problem with AP reaching altitudes, using flychange for example, it behaves somewhat erratically, also I couldnt make VS mode work

For example, there is no info available at all about the arc (arc center point, arc radius.) How is it able to construct an RF leg without this data? I wonder if @Stearmandriver has any thoughts. Ok, they're in navdata-stars-[apt id].app. Looks text based; might even be easier to modify than the sqllite stuff. Andrew Crowley
October 15, 20241 yr Another "take 80% of the item, pay 100% and then we'll see" product. Even if i wanted this (it's just another boring 737, so skip anyway) i wouldn't buy it. This is getting out of hand, now even iFly adheres to these weird methods of making money. Why? Because MSFS is getting its own MAX? Because PMDG will eventually release theirs? Who cares, we're getting yet again an unfinished product and paying full price for it. TFDi is doing the same, there's not even a P&W engine out yet! Sad times. October 15, 20241 yr I’m seeing a little conflicting info. A lot of posts are raving about the product whilst another claims vertical speed and level change doesn’t work. If I bought this product now, what currently doesn’t work? Is there a list of stuff anywhere? Thanks

October 15, 20241 yr I expressed concern before release about its single engine behavior on the ground and by extension, in flight, based on what I'd seen in streams. Did a little streaming myself tonight, and I will cheerfully eat my words. https://www.twitch.tv/stearmandriver/v/2276560206?sr=a Edited October 15, 20241 yr by Stearmandriver Andrew Crowley
October 15, 20241 yr The first time I loaded it up it ran well but then I had to start again to start at KDEN Gate 35 [there are 3 gate 35s which one a,b or c?] I chose A35 but now nothing works none of the wheels or switches work and I always get a cold and dark cockpit but as I said everything is dead. Tried reinstalling but nothing. I hope someone can help. I tried their dreadful discord thing but did not even get in. help please? I would say basically nothing flat-out "doesn't work". There are things that can be improved, but not really any more so than a lot of airplanes that have been out for years and are considered decent. For my test flight tonight, I flew on Vatsim from SFO to PSP, so I could do an RNP approach with multiple RF legs, after doing a turn in a manually created hold. Then I did a manually flown AIII approach to a zero-zero landing and ended up on centerline. Then I used FSIPanel to do a V1 cut and found that the plane's single engine flight model is exemplary. For a plane that the developer isn't even calling complete yet, I was surprised at how much is there. I mean, there are small functions of the EFB that aren't implemented yet, and there were a couple times that LNAV or VNAV did something odd, but it sorted itself out. I'm talking about the kinds of things that you probably wouldn't even notice unless you know the airplane well. The single biggest gripe I found is in the HUD - the flight guidance cue doesn't behave correctly. It acts like it's commanding an aircraft attitude instead of a flight path. I'll reach out to them about that. But on the other hand, their HUD contains the rotation cue, the runway remaining counter, actual rollout guidance after an AIII, the deceleration rate carat, and other things that the PMDG HUD is still missing despite several of us providing info about them for years. I think I'm a believer on this one. Andrew Crowley

Kind Regards Richard I actually read something about this on their discord. The recommendation was to ensure that the iFly app (little orange thing in your system tray) is NOT running, THEN start the sim and it'll start that iFly app when you load into the Max. I've taken this from their discord which may help you: POTENTIAL WORKAROUND: Close the sim. Once you close the sim, you have to force close the plugin in the system tray. Launch the plugin (even if auto-start is enabled) before booting the sim. Load in as normal. IF MSFS LAUNCHED WITH NO PLUGIN Do NOT launch plugin while sim is loading/booting up. Start a flight and open the plugin one loaded in! It is a lengthy process, but this appears to have helped some people resolve this issue. To close the plugin: Click a little arrow like this ^ on the bottom right of your task bar. You will see the ifly plugin (orange logo) here if it is running. Right click on it, and select "Quit". My bad. Another question: while the iFly Max8 has a hard time doing higher simrates, does it allow editing the fuel amount in-flight? That way, I can takeoff with the correct weight, climb to T/C, skip to somewhere before T/D (I use Quantum Leap for that), adjust fuel accordingly, and then continue as if nothing happened.
