  1. 1. Must MSFS 2024 be released November 19th?, even if it is similar to a beta version, like MSFS 2020 was?

    • Yes, even like with MSFS 2020, that it was like a beta version, with bugs, flaws and strong points, and it went maturing over years.

What a foolish survey.

I think they will release it on time unless the alpha test results were bad and they feel it would be a bigger black eye releasing versus delaying. But i want them to release it regardless, because then the fixes will get out. Software can stay in a state of “almost done” literally forever. Get it out and then the issues will be addressed.

They date is set. I doubt they Asobo/MS change anything. But for sure they get really busy right after launch LOL

Both answers in your poll assume that MSFS2024 is not fit to be released, and the choices are to have a buggy version now or wait a year -or more-

I'd say MSFS2024 should be released whenever it is ready to be, and that could be 19 November.

Oh no, I took care of that assumption, read all the conditionals in the answers, "even", "if", it not implies.

Yes, the alpha was a bit, alpha, sure in the release is better of course, even in that alpha state but with all features, RELEASE IT.

I like how the poll and entire premise of the poll is a loaded question

No, it is not a loaded question, and that not was the intention, it is like MSFS 2020 was, and it not implies that can be perfect already and minor bugs like ALL software has in release or even years and for always, or a bit more beta, you can choose yes or not, nobody oblige to one of them, I think the questions are very clear.

Oh come on, you don't fool anyone, you are just looking at a way to be critical of MSFS 2024.

I would gladly take even the MSFS 2024 "beta" version they demoed already over 1 year ago anytime over MSFS 2020 in its current "final" state. the technical Alpha we had access to doesn't reflect the current code status whatsoever. the assumption it might not be finished and should not be released November 19 is therefore without any foundation.

very nice.

It's a AAA game release. It'll come on time because delaying releases directly hurts Microsoft.

No, at all, sorry, you are wrong, not critical in that way you mean, anyway being critical is good too (less in a fake democracy or a dictatorship of single thought, without real freedom of opinion and censure).

With positive criticism, I want the release, even if it is being a supporter with an unfinished beta product, and enjoy it like I did with MSFS 2020, and if it is better, better, excellent.

Genuinely, between this and the other thread, I'm very curious where the completely unfounded sense of paranoia is coming from.

The sim has been out for 4 years and we've had over a dozen SUs. No SUs were so broken as to destroy the sim. I'm struggling to understand how Super SU 2024 is going to destroy the entire MSFS franchise and force Microsoft to cancel the whole series while simultaneously ruining lives, but it's not preventing all manner of baseless speculation.

Is it just some sort of nihilistic hope that your hobby is in more trouble than anyone notices, and you're the only doomsayer on the street? Just pessimism? Or wanting attention? I can't really figure it out.

Did you read all my responses well and understanding what you read?, no, do it, there it is the response to that.

Oh, maybe yes, all that is fake, nihilism, a conspiracy theorist ahahha, the reality and the truth is not the reality and the truth.

I couldn't care less whether it releases on November 19 or not. I will upgrade when I am ready, and not before.
