I just don't get this whole pre-purchase thing at all. Most product launches are plagued with problems anyway. I'll just wait and see how things are going before I buy. October 18, 20241 yr Moderator don't forget to consider that they could plan a segmented distribution based upon expected server load and many other things. IMHO, the least important thing to MS/Asobo on the preorder is $$. Statistically the preorders could give them an insight to the initial demographics and server demand. I can think of several other reasons for MS/Asobo to do a preorder but the only one I can think of for the consumer is, simply that you want to. I see no compelling reason other than that. Some cautious users will wait until the initial release bug fix is ready. I know I am not giving up on 2020 until 2024 is very stable. October 18, 20241 yr Sure, of course it's my personal choice and my place to say that it's irresponsible to buy a game if you are short of money! It's common sense, actually! Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
