If you ask me about the addon, i recommend it! It's a very good airport! Better than AMSIM!

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

That doesn't stop you from tryin'. After all it's just a sim. You can always try again even if you crash. But it's true that it requires much of practice and skill, not to mention the crosswinds... 🙂

Funchal indeed is one of the most challenging airports - and nicely shown here. Though your final in the 777 does not look too perfect?!

The approach was perfect with my 777 but i struggled against a stronger crosswind. For the 737 the wind was less strong. But i landed well that's what counts. In any case i would have done a go-around if i couldn't land. 😉
