Ok, who's going to be the first to add a free mod for air-to-air missiles on the underside of my C172 wing?

Think it's one of them "nice to have" things that essentially means nothing except for pretty picture opportunities.

Personally I love looking over my shoulder in VR and seeing the wing tooled up. No interest in actually firing them though, it’s a bit like walking quietly but carrying a big stick, as the saying goes.

Common sense finally enters the Microsoft mindset. Now we just need them to speed up the certification process for updates on the MS Marketplace. At the moment, it is borderline criminal.

Military aircraft are no less impressive at an air show without armament, it their design and performance that make them admirable.

So, long as you passively, or actively, overlook their intended purpose.

Seeing the aftermath of an air strike, the further that reality is kept at bay the better.

If that’s your bag there’s DCS…

Ah, now we can have a marketplace SEPECAT Jaguar with those AAM's on the top of the wing.

Those of us who appreciate reality care.

In reality, if not on a live range, ordinance is not carried. So, what we had was reality.

"Seeing the aftermath of an airplane crash, the further that reality is kept at bay, the better."

See how ridiculous that sounds?

Military aircraft with external armament fly all around the world every single day.

If it's reality we seek to simulate, then let's not be ostriches and pretend weapons don't exist.

Oh, and btw, if you don't like weapons in MSFS, you don't have to see them.

You don't get out much, do you?

No, that’s why plane crashes have not been modeled in the sim since 9/11…
