Is there a way to start my flights in the PMDG 737-600 at the gate with engines running, and ready for pushback?

Load the relevent flight from the FMC Christopher. Menu/PMDG setup/startup state... and select your preference.

I was expecting to see a handful of options like "cold and dark" or "ready for pushback", but there are 21 pages of airport options. Are these all of the airports that I have previously used with the PMDG 737-600, or all of my payware airports? What about the hand crafted airports that I use? Are they in the list??

EDIT: Selecting "737-600 BIAR Akureyri" did absolutely nothing. The engines are still switched off. What am I missing here?

I have bigger problems now. Ever since I messed around in that "Startup State" menu, my 737 has failed to load. When I try to load the plane at an airport, I get to the screen with the multiple successive views of the plane/airport from different angles, but as soon as I press that "FLY" button (or whatever it says) in the lower right corner, my screen greys out and becomes frozen. Pressing ESCAPE has no effect. I cannot even stop MSFS running from the taskbar. I have to sign out, and reboot to the desktop

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plane, but that has not solved the problem. This happened shortly after I had installed the 3.00.106 update, but I am not convinced that it has anything to do with that, because it loaded normally at "Parking 3" at BIAR Akureyri the first time (before I had touched the "Startup State" menu).

I have submitted a ticket on the PMDG forum, but I am looking down the barrel of no flying over the weekend, as the PMDG 737-600 is the only aircraft that I use

The issue has been related to panel load states for quite some time. Please try to find out where these files are saved. I'm currently away from my PC and can't provide the exact location. You can search online for the location of these files and delete all of them; they will be regenerated upon restart.
The other issue is that even if you uninstall, many files are left behind, which may interfere with the software; I would also manually check what is left and delete it after Windows uninstalls.
Somebody already published this useful tip, THANK YOU!
1. Uninstall all PMDG products from 'Add/Remove Programs' Windows control panel
    e.g., 'PMDG 737-800 for MSFS'
2. In the following folder delete all folders beginning with 'pmdg-'
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages
    e.g., 'pmdg-aircraft-738'
3. In the following folder delete all folders beginning with 'PMDG'
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes
    e.g., 'PMDG 737-800'
4. Delete these folders
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\PMDG
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\PMDG
5. In the following folder delete all folders beginning with 'pmdg-' (your MSFS path will be different)
    D:\MSFS\Packages\Community
    e.g., 'pmdg-aircraft-738' & 'pmdg-aircraft-738-liveries'

Perhaps in a few hrs I might be able to provide the other info. Sorry.

No problem, mate. Thanks for making the effort to help 👍

EDIT: I found and deleted the panel state files, so I will test this now.

Thank you, LRBS! Deleting those saved state files appears to have solved the problem. It successfully loaded to the "Parking 3" position at BIAR Akureyri this time

I'm glad to hear that! I recommend loading any panel state, customizing the AC settings as you prefer, saving it, and then setting that as the default start.

always good  to remove  any panel states before  a  update   since  they most likely  cause  issues
