How to generate graphic profiles of controllers in MSFS2020?

Featured Replies

Is there any way or tool that I can generate a graphic profile of a controller in MSFS 2020? Sth like the image below.

The thing is that I customized controllers and after a while it can be hard for me to recall some the keys I assigned. If I can save a image like this, that would be quite a help.

I googled but couldn't find anything, and there appears no built-in tools in MSFS 2020.

What controller(s) do you currently use? I've made editable PDF files (or even Photoshop PSD files) for some sticks I've owned - but I haven't bothered lately with my latest (Warthog).

I use mostly Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo for flying GA planes. I understand it's possible to manually edit a template, but I wish there is a tool that can automatically draw a profile of controller with key assignments

Tried it a while ago, but was a bit confused what it exactly does. Maybe I should give it a try again and see how it works. It's not graphic, but a list can still be useful.

Don't count on it. It would be pretty complicated to program such a tool (if possible at all) and one would have to do that for all possible available controllers to make it a bit worthwhile... Creating such a tool for just one type of controller would be a waste of time.

If I were you I'd look for pictures of your controllers online (see below), print them and write each function on it. Or create a template in Photoshop. It will probably take you 10 minutes or so and that's a LOT LESS than it would take a programmer to write such a tool. 😉

yeah, that's exactly what I'm doing now. I copy/paste these controller images into powerpoint slides and label the key assignments. Many many years ago I was using Thrustmaster programming software and remember it could print diagrams. Agree, too much work to make a universal software for so many different controllers.

I wish we had downloadable/exportable and thus shareable controller config files. recent JF146Pro and PMDG737 updates for whatever reason broke my long working TM Airbus Throttle axes and button assignments and I am just pxxxxx off to go through all that config hassle again to make them work again. hope something like that will come in MSFS2024
