  • A long story seems to end, just a faint shadow of what it was this company. Embarassing. Glad I preordered only a digital copy...

  • Wow that’s brutal.  They should be able to give out digital keys or something…not acceptable in this day and age.

While I understand the excitement around preordering unreleased software, it seems that the primary benefit is providing early financial support to the software company. Unfortunately, preordering doesn't typically result in receiving the software any earlier than its general release date. When issues arise, it's unfortunate for everyone involved, but I find it difficult to sympathize with either party in this situation.

Usually, you get some perks for a preorder... Free DLC, cosmetic skins or badge, anything... for 2024 you get access to the CL-415 in 2020. I agree it's not really worth it and will just save you the time of going through the checkout process on release day.

The collector's edition tempted me, but let's face it... that flight bag will probably be low quality, and the Antonov, while a nice gesture, isn't exactly a beautiful plane that I want to make space to display somewhere. If you are a big An-225 fan, the models on Amazon that go for $100+ look like they may be a bit more detailed, but we won't know until we see actual pictures of the collector's edition version.

The clue to the issue is "Warehouse in Germany". If they have to use a Western European shipping warehouse, Italy would have been better in 2024.

Same here.  But I thought there was a good chance something would get effed up (since its Aerosoft) with a physical copy.  I just did the tried and true via the microsoft store.

I was tempted as well but I just didn't want to give any money to Aerosoft so held off.

I'd never considered they could mess it up this badly.

I wouldn't continue doing business with them.

They are too interested in bus simulators these days and no longer committed to producing quality flight sim products, although some of their sceneries are nice but they are few and far between.

Making big circles around AS after they took my money for the Twotter, promised updated sounds which never arrived and then stating (MK back then before leaving for PMDG) that „something big“ would come. That was what, 1 year ago? Gave up to check their forums after months of silence….

The very reason i never ever pre-order again in my lifetime. Too many disappointments in the past, with pre-order i usually got the piece of software even AFTER everybody else got it.

The code for MSFS may not be finalized to “RTM” status until just a few days before the 19th. Then it has to be burned on DVDs and shipped to Aerosoft in Germany to be re-shipped to customers. It’s not surprising there will be a delay.

I suspect the DVDs are being created by a vendor in the US, since apparently there will not be a delay for US customers who order from the US Aerosoft storefront.

I don't believe either the Collector's Edition or Premium Deluxe Steelbook edition include any physical media... you just get a steelbook box with a download code inside.

That well may be.

This would be an easy fix for Aerosoft. They can't ship the hardware on time, but they sure should be able to ship the software, i.e. 2024 program and keys on schedule.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Company seems to me a sinking ship.

Really glad I didn't go down this route (I did consider it). The extra price tag (and now longer wait) all for a flight bag with some badges and a model plane..

I would absolutely expect that they would send the key for it electronically so you can still play on 19th with everyone else.
