November 13, 20241 yr Just noticed this with todays navigraph pc client update. Haven't checked if it appears in the cockpit efb of supported ac yet. Jose A. November 13, 20241 yr I heard that MSFS 2024 won't be using Navigraph. I guess they are looking at a bleak future.
November 13, 20241 yr Probably NG trying to add value so that people moving to 2024 don't cancel their subscriptions. However, I'm not sure why they stopped at showing Vatsim and Ivao traffic. Why not show the traffic you have injected in your sim (your chosen injector, multiplayer...)? The feature as announced has zero value to me.

For Vatsim users, this is huge. The biggest issue with Vatsim is trying to see what controllers are online, and what that guy on Unicom who isn't speaking is actually doing. I'd have both Charts and Vatsim Radar up. I am in the camp that NG will provide a lot of value even in 24.
November 13, 20241 yr As long as PMDG and Fenix use Navigraph AIRAC, they'll keep my subscription regardless of what 2024 offers. Though I won't be disappointed if competition drives down the cost. Tbh I can see myself using this feature more frequently when I'm controlling, actually. Sometimes it's nice to pull up a reference plate with an aircraft position if it's an approach you don't often vector to/etc. and it's busy.

I hadn't even though of that, and it probably makes it easy to see if the pilot is doing an oopsie.

I'd say it's another helpful situational awareness aid, since I already use it to pull all my charts while controlling, an overlay of traffic is almost cheating lol

November 14, 20241 yr No plans to ditch Navigraph either, but will try out the the sims in built version. Which i expect to be pretty good as WT have developed it. AMD Ryzen 7800x3d 64gb DDR5, Sapphire 7900 GPU MSSI Tomahawk AM5 M/Board. 1x 4tb Crucial M.2 SSD, 3x 2tb Crucial M.2 SSD's

Jeppesen should cover more smaller airports where LIDO customers don't operate, so it is particularly interesting for general and business aviation, even if there are LIDO customers among business jet operators. The design, however, falls into the category of a matter of taste. I personally find the colored LIDO charts clearer, especially the airport and taxi charts are superior imho. On the other hand, the briefing strip in Jeppesen is also well done. In terms of information content, both solutions should be equivalent, but if I am not mistaken, with Jeppesen you have to take the threshold altitude from the airport chart, while LIDO sensibly presents it on the approach chart. But these are really minor details. I don't see me cancelling my Navigraph subscription, as I mainly use it on Ipad and find it to be a well crafted navigation solution. But time will tell...
