The price for the full version of the RJ on the MSFS market place is about €77.

The Just Flight shop is selling it at €65 which is actually cheaper than the MS Store is asking for the upgrade "bundle" (€69).

"offensive initials not allowed"* are they doing? (Apart from money-grubbing).

My best guess?
1) This is due to the recent adjustment MS made in the store with exchange rates between currencies (I couldn't tell you how this works, only that it made things more expensive for some parts of the world). This would have nothing to do with Just Flight.

OR

2) The price is increased to make up for the cut MS takes in the store, though I have not seen anything from Just Flight that would make me think this is the case.

If I were a betting man, I'd guess it's #1. That said someone with more knowledge than I have might be able to explain.

Don't jump to conclusions. Take a breath and explore reasonable explanations first. Just Flight have been a decent company, IMO.

I don't think it's Just Flight doing this. Well I hope not, otherwise I will be very disappointed.

Not sure if you own the 146 via the MP already and are after the discount but if that's the case you can convert the 146 to the contrail shop and then pick up the RJ at a discount.  This was mentioned in the other RJ thread by other users (thanks guys) and I did exactly that myself and it worked fine.

No.1, spot on. I saw one of the MS feeds on YouTube and they were giving the reasons for this increase. It was claimed they were not making anything/ or little on sales from the Countries involved, therefore they have increased due to exchange rates,

I do. And I was disappointed with the measly discount offered in Marketplace (just 10% off). I'll give your suggestion a try.

When I end up purchasing the Avro RJ package, I will be getting it direct from JustFlight. Those guys deserve it.

On a side note......can we please have the Flightsim Show back in 2025? 🙏

Just to confirm. The only price that can be submitted by the developer/publisher to the MarketPlace is the $ price. Other currency prices are then set by Microsoft. What doesn't help is that they can't do upgrade discounts and so they offer a bundle whereby, if you own one part and then 'complete' your bundle by buying the other element, you pay the difference. Unfortunately, the logic can only knock 20% off the entire bundle, so owners of Part A, who then buy Part B, only get 10% off part B. It looks like MS has now reduced the bundle price to take this into account.

How is it a money grab? 1. You are not forced to buy. 2. They get alot less money for it via market place.

Ah so entitled; aside from the fact JF pay more in fees on MFS Marketplace and have to set their pricing within the structures it permits, it's common to pay different prices on different sales platforms. Pringles are £2.20 in Tesco, only £1.50 in Asda, I am not cussing out Pringles I just go buy from the cheaper shop, that's pre-purchase due diligence.

I've got some games for free that would've cost double figures elsewhere, but I'm not shouting "money-grubbing" at the developers, retailers put their margins on (even if developers sometimes get to set the final selling price), go moan at Microsoft about their in-game marketplace if you're so incensed.

Just Flight prices are abit all over the place. I would buy in simmarket. There, it is cheaper than any mentioned price here (€54 IIRC).

I have no explanation for these price differences, because simmarket is also keeping 25-30% of the price for them.

Even more reason to go directly to the dev's for your purchase, if your in one of the Countries affected by the increase. UK is, so i bought it directly from Just Flight, and got the discount for having the 146. Another bonus of going direct is your updates are far quicker.

Not actually correct.  The RJ Professional on Simmarket will cost €64.96.  It will cost you €64.95.

More or less the same, they are instructed to sell at the same price as we do and they usually adhere to that. Only time when that should differ is if there's a sale or promotion running and we've given sign-off a specific price.

I hope that helps.
