The 737 doesn’t have a rollout mode during autoland in the real airplane either so don’t plan on it having one in the sim.

So why on an autoland, at the "land 3" stage, the words "rollout" and "flare" appears at the annunciator ?

I would say this is represented in the iFly.  What I can say for sure is that comparing it to the PMDG (which is just the obvious point of comparison in the sim), the flight model in general is much n

I appreciate the arrogance, trust me I really do. However I already admitted I wasn’t fully correct. But let’s play your game. You are referencing the fail operational system. However, I don’t know why you mentioned the “flare” FMA annunciation. That’s irrelevant to rollout.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Yeah, I don't care which auto land system you're using, if you don't have "flare", you don't have auto land and it is gonna hurt 😉.

As a note, don't confuse the R/O annunciation on the HGS status panel for an autopilot-performed rollout.  Lots of carriers (mine included) can use the same RVR requirements as an aircraft with 3 axis autopilot even though we use the fail passive auto land system, because of the rollout guidance presented in the HUD.  But the pilot has to track it, the airplane will not.

Sounds like it still a work in progress.

Stick to PMDG! You seem to have PMDG tunnel vision. I forgot how many updates the 737NGX has had since its release? We didn't even get a tablet for a year, and it was basic at best. The iFly Max8 is more complete than PMDG's NGX on release for MSFS2020.

The iFly needs some work on systems depth and other nuances found in the real plane, according to some real world pilots.  However, normal A to B flights are great!  The most standout part of the iFly to me are the flight dynamics.  The hand flying is beyond remarkable.  You can get onto final and remain stable with subtle changes to trim, then land with grace.  A lot of add-ons are rather unstable on final and you struggle to maintain pitch.  Subtle inputs to trim will result in a dramatic change to your angle, so you spend a lot of time chasing the glideslope.  I really like the plane so far.

Did you guys know that on the bottom of the FMS between the light grey and the keypad, there is a handle.

If you click on it, it pops up. Cant do anything with it, but still, its cool.

MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

  • 3 weeks later...

Did a flight ENTC-ESSA and noticed the performance for wet runway did not match Simbrief as i was forced to drop baggage (67 tons) .F10-F15 did not help either. Not sure which is correct for this relativ short runway.

VNAV was good allthough altitude intervention killed the A/T. Had to use SPD INTV to kick it in again.

How do i setup 3.0 tons of fuel as default every time btw? It loads with 10.3 as std.

GSX can refuel the aircraft from Simbrief btw. Not sure you have to update the aircraft from the performance/payload page but i guess you will set fuel from here also.

After the latest GSX update, over here having GSX do the refueling doesn't work anymore.

Before the GSX update, you would wait for GSX to tell you to use the aircraft refueling method to add the fuel amount youy need and then GSX would start the refueling animation. This no longer works, no matter what you put in for fuel via the EFB, GSX will keep telling you to input the fuel amount.

I asked about this over in the GSX forums but up to this point, I had zero replies. So based on that, I'm not sure if I'm the only one seeing this issue.

No big deal, I just skip the refueling animation and enjoy catering and boarding instead 🙂

I get the amount from Simbrief in the GSX menu to choose when the truck arrives. 3.0 here

GSX does get the correct fuel amount over here as well from SimBrief.

The problem is how the refueling never starts but keeps telling me to input the amount of fuel even when I do.

Hmm , maybe its related to the refuel page in the EFB?

I did visit the page were you can turn on fuel valves and enter fuel but did not fill in. I did turn on fuel on one page though

I always use the page in the EFB where you fill in both payload and fuel on different tabs.

Could also be a setting in GSX which needs to change but since it has been working without any issues up until I updated GSX to the latest version, it's tempting to think it's related.

Hello, I found with the Ifly 38M the GSX integration really has nothing to do with EFB.  I use the GSX dialog and it loads fuel as designed, even if there is more fuel showing in the tanks when you call for the truck.  Next time your parked at a gate open GSX and click customize aircraft.  Make sure the "Use MSFS refueling dialog is CHECKED" close it and call the fuel truck. When it arrives choose the load from simbrief option in the GSX dropdown options and it should work. Catering should work fine as well.  After that just use the EFB fuel pax and cargo, and load those for your performance numbers.  This works well for me.

Thanks, guess I'll need to play around with it a bit.

Up until the latest version of GSX, this is where I put in the amount of fuel and this used to trigger the GSX refueling but not anymore.

Exactly, I experienced the same and could never get it to work that way.  If I have some time tomorrow I'll put some images together for you.  It's 4am were I am in the US and I need a few hours sleep LOL.
