Live AI planes seems to be a mess in MSFS 2024 !?

Featured Replies

It is always the 'New' that keeps the interest high. After this weekend all will be settled and we will treat 2024 just like 2020 and fbwA380, it is here so what hahaha😂😂😂

The suspense of the unknown is killing us🥳🥹😐😒😵‍💫🧐 all emotions combined before release.

  • I'm not sure how OP got this interpretation from FSLTL's message. They said there was problems with FSLTL's injector in FS24. There was no reference to the functionality of the default Live AI traffic

  • Then you're whole post is just deceptive cause it makes it seems like MSFS AI traffic is a mess when realistically we don't know. We just do know that injectors don't work with it, atleast not on laun

  • And how do you know  that lol. There was nothing ready for 2020 when it launched. I was there day 1. The release will have issues, without doubt, all do!

AI ships seem to be an issue too in some of the videos I've seen.  They seem to be all over the place and much too bright compared to the ASOBO water, ground and photo scenery.

The biggest problem I saw with ships were so many bumping into bridges unable to cross since default bridges are processed as buildings with walls beneath them.

yes and MSFS places it wrong in one parking spot, AI control issues, sound issues, etc.
That's what they said
it's about third party

Why don't you just wait until tomorrow when the REAL product releases?

Many coming on here to post about the forthcoming mess or state of the release is just plain ludicrous.

No one has any idea what the launch product will be like. Time to just wait until tomorrow instead of fomenting all of this doom and gloom. Geez.

No one has noticed that msfs charges money for announcing a traffic that never existed, and that Fstlt, psxt and AIG have done the work for free?
4 years after that we still dint have ai live traffic.
In reality, it can be said that no programmer has even been able to invent air traffic that works, even if they constantly sell it in the teasers.

Well, they also talked about improvements to AI.

If you don’t see that, just wait a day. You won’t need an injector anymore. But sure, if you think that it’s going to be terrible like you say.. well, again, less than 24 hours 🙂

we need improvements to the AI logic though, a Plane will still travel off the runway - even with the correct livery and flight times.

Honestly if they haven't made any inroads with this I will be very disappointed - they've had four years for gods sake - I do fear they have continued to neglect this area though, there's no excuse imo for this.

I rarely saw any moving at all in open water. Like maybe one in twenty.

But it’s entirely possible that was just a Alpha thing

We’ve had live traffic since launch. So you’re just outright wrong.

Also AIG’s traffic isn’t live, they use offline flight plans. However FSLTL,PSX and even the default live traffic will use their models and liveries if you have them installed

Airport environments in MSFS 2024 are much more true-to-life.

True to life?!!! 🙂 With 3 UAL wide-bodies in KJFK? UAL has not flown in/out of KJFK since I don;t remember when.

After 4+ years MSFS 2020 ai traffic (internal and external) has not even reached the quality of FSX/P3D ai traffic. So I don't expect much in this regard from the new version.

And that's really sloppy from MS and Asobo, they know what's going on with AI Traffic for 4 years now, but they could have done better for such a release ( MSFS 2024 ), very disappointing if that's the case..🫣

cheers 😉

If they cannot deliver, why not to provide SDK for AI?

They're talking about liveries and models.

"To ensure accuracy in air traffic patterns, the team utilizes data from FlightAware. They’ve analyzed an entire year’s worth of global flight data, using this information to model plane movements accurately within the simulator. With these improvements, the developers claim to have achieved approximately 91% accuracy in representing global air traffic."

Is that actually possible with only a 25% representation of real world liveries?

Where did you get that figure?

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

JonathanC posted some information further back in the thread that included this figure for airline liveries.

Oh I see what you're saying but they were specifically talking about aircraft types and patterns. There will be placeholder liveries to fill in the gaps.
