Did any 2020 Premium Deluxe owner buy 2024 Standard version?

Featured Replies

Hi.  Did any owners of the MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe version buy the MSFS 2024 Standard version?  And if you owned the MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe version and you bought the MSFS 2024 Standard version, were your Premium Deluxe planes in 2020 upgraded to the MSFS 2024 version?  For example, was your 787 upgraded to the MSFS 2024 version or did it stay as the MSFS 2020 version?

I'm asking because the future Horizon Simulations mod will be based off the 2024 version of the 787 and not the 2020 version of the 787.  The MSFS 2024 FAQ just used the word "automatically work" and didn't use the word "update."  But if somebody that owns the Premium Deluxe or even the Deluxe version of MSFS 2020, can confirm their 2020 Premium Deluxe or 2020 Deluxe planes were upgraded to the MSFS 2024 version, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also I’m interested to know did all the previous Premium Deluxe hand crafted airports appear as the new 2024 versions or a simple compatibility port of the 2020 versions. Did you also gain the new Bilbao hand crafted?

I didn’t pre-order because I wanted to see what happened to all these airports at launch, regardless of all the “yeh they will work” forum discussion. (I also  didn’t see any point in pre-ordering - it’s not as if the Microsoft Store has limited stock!)

Yup, I would like to know if the airports were also upgraded to the 2024 version too.

I didn't pre-order as well, but it's crazy how hard it is to get an answer to this, even after release. I also have yet to see somebody fly the 787 in MSFS 2024 on a live stream, lol.

I did, like most of you, I assumed, wrong of course, that most of that would carry over, but actually purchased planes did get ported over, and quite nicely as far as I can tell. I cannot vouch for airports, as I don't recall ever having purchased any.

However, I'm a bit miffed that I had certain planes (Yes, I'm looking at you, C700 Longitude...) that I no longer have access to until I fork out upgrade money for premium deluxe (again!).

All of the aircraft from the 2020 Premium Deluxe edition have been brought over to my Standard edition of MSFS 2024.

The problem is that My Library is a mess and I can't enable any of them to load in MSFS 2024. Also, apparently the version of all of them in MSFS 2024 is the upgraded version for MSFS 2024 and not the port of the 2020 version, judging by the version number that appears in My Library.

I believe some were unsure whether they would receive the upgraded version or a port.

I got an alert that my premium deluxe 2020 aircraft were ported over and to restart the sim to complete the process.  I did so, and still do not see my Longitude.

Hi, can you post a photo of the upgraded version? For example, can you post a photo of the upgraded 787 for us to see?

I'm just looking for visual confirmation the 787 from the 2020 Premium Deluxe has been upgraded to the 2024 version. Thanks!

It's concerning that none of the 2020 Premium Deluxe or 2020 Deluxe owners have gotten the Premium Deluxe or Deluxe planes to work in MSFS 2024.

I don't have access to them yet. I'm just assuming they are the upgraded versions just by the version number, but I'll just have to load them to be absolutely sure.

They appear in My Library, but there is no option there to enable them in MSFS 2024.

Might be connected to the server issues, or maybe the marketplace being down

I am in that same boat. Now I even have the added enjoyment of watching my PC shutdown anytime I attempt to do anything from the main menu other than quit to desktop and go to a placeholder page for the marketplace. I think I just have to sit back and give Microshaft and Asobo a week or so to get their collective ducks in a row.

I also had Premium deluxe 2020 and none of the planes ported over. However, I purchased the V35 and that was available.

My premium 2020 aircraft appeared, but my marketplace payware are missing. H-Jet, Citation Mustang, etc.

So you bought the Standard version of 2024, right?

Are you able to play any of your Premium Deluxe aircraft in MSFS 2024, such as the 787?

I did, but with a caveat: I went from Steam 2020 Premium Deluxe to Game Pass 2024 Standard. I couldn't find the 787 or the Pipistrel (the only two Premium Deluxe aircraft I fly). However, I got a message saying "we know you, and your Marketplace content will be awaiting soon" (or something like that). I can't confirm yet my Marketplace has actually carried over correctly. That was as of last night.
