Recommended Posts

Go to link:http://www.box.net/shared/8j4clw44c4to view a panoramic FSX video of a small area of San Juan County.Place the utah pan.fsr file in your My Documents/Flight Simulator X Files.Go to Options in FSX and then Flight Video. Open and you should see "utah pan" in the file list.Select and play.As usual, use the maximum display setting your system can tolerate. The file is 323kb Made from FSDreamscapes data.First try at this...Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yoke

Dick,Is this a FS video that you created while flying over proprietary scenery offered by FSDreamscapes? If so, you should be aware that nobody will see the scenery using this method. FSX flight video only records position data related to the aircraft you are flying (course, speed, altitude, etc.). It does not record what you see during your flight. So, if your intention was to show off this photoscenery, this is not the way. The user who views your .fsr file will only see whatever scenery they have installed (not scenery YOU have installed.)If you want to show off this scenery, you'll need to record video using something along the lines of FRAPS or GameCam, then maybe upload that video onto YouTube, assuming you have the right to do that per your agreement with FSDreamscapes.

Apparently there are legal issues as mentioned. Running afoul of the law (civil) might be quite unpleasant. It is therefore good that the video only shows if the scenery is on the users machine. I should have made that obvious conclusion when such a small file was produced. First time - Last time.....Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yoke

Might be worthwhile trying this with Tileproxy.

You would only face some legal questions if you had signed a non-disclosure agreement with FSDreamscapes (which, I'm guessing you didn't) as part of a beta testing operation. Screenies, and video of released and public domain add-ons is quite common.
