Lost waves (surf) against the shore

Recommended Posts

I no longer see the waves splashing against the shore. Is there a setting or a file that I could have changed or lost? Thanks,

Howard

Hello Howard:I also do not have waves in the UTX coverage area.I have made the edits to my texture.cfg file recommended by SimForums, including a try in additional areas with shorelines. According to the thread, the edit seemed to cure the problem for some, partially for others, and not at all for others. The final couple of replies imply that outside of the UTX area waves are there, but still not in the USA. Did the "Effect=wavecontroller" edit provide waves for you (including in the KSEA Seattle area?I also have installed the 1.1 and 1.2 patches to UTX. I also have SP1 and SP2 installed for FSX. Is this the case on your system?Screenshots are included for the KSEA area where there are no waves. Screenshots for the Sitka area are also included which have all kinds of wave action. If anyone knows the final solution for this problem, it sure would be appreciated. It would be interesting to also know how many have had success, or have not been able to recover waves.Respectfully:RTH
