Imagine buying a car and they give it to you without wheels. Then you say: oh, but you will see that in the future it will go better.

when I buy a product, it's because its finished.

If you feel this way, then Flight Sim is the wrong hobby for you.

There has never been a release that was without problems, even FSX was really buggy when released in 2006, and didn't take until 2009 to really become of age, so that is a three year timeline. Every release has been that way going all the way back to the 80s they release, they update and third party catches up

What can I say clearly this is not for you

There has never been a release of MSFS that went well, they develop over time

  • The last two years, I have flown only Airliners 99% of the time.  I see no advantage at all to moving to MS 2024. 2020 is rock solid, never crashes, or glitches and everything works flawlessly. Pebble

If you really started with FS98 you would have got what I am saying by now, but I doubt it based on your demeaner

Dear simulation partner. The truth is that I know the evolution of flight simulator very well. It is a successful evolution, but lately it has appropriated the trust of its customers, giving us an unfinished product. Taking the user crazy with options that are too confusing. Fortunately we have the forums to express our dissatisfaction and have else to understand that everything is not worth it.

truth hurts.

Which is why I wait with new releases, even with FSX I did buy it the first week it came out, but it sat in its wrapper for almost 2 years before I even opened it, Century of Flight was still in its prime and no shortage of third party at that time, same now FS2024 will prove itself over time as well, FS2020 still works great, this is the progression of a heavily modded and third party supported franchise

Truth hurts for you, not for me I can wait, this was expected

You're exactly the profile they love. People who are going to buy the first thing that comes out and who, after seeing the bad results, say: this is normal.
money is given. You wait. They are happy. Is perfect!!!

😎

I don't get it - why buy it before you'll use it?  Are you afraid they'll run out of downloads?

Nope, I bought FSX the first week to get the first run DVD to add to my collection that now goes back to Sublogic Flight Simulator 2, but didn't open it for almost 2 years knowing it wasn't developed yet, When I did cross over I used it until around 2016, so that is 8 years on FSX and was happy with it during that time.

Thats why i say you are the perfect client 😊

For the first time ever, I just had the game load in about 1.5 minutes. Till now it's been about 3 mins

Maybe they really are making progress with the servers

Or maybe less highly loaded with the working people back to their workplaces 🙂

yikes, you have stuff in your Community folder?

None.

I'll wait 1-2 Years and see if things improve.

The thin client / stream everything model is very suspicious - I gladly 'sacrifice' SSD Space if it means I can run a basic version of my sim offline when the need arises.

For now I think MSFS2020 is a ( *edit ) decent Flightsim-Platform with some well polished Addon aircaft and sceneries.

Asobo / Microsoft have promised continued Support for at least until 2030. Which I intend to use to it's fullest.

No need for me to switch to this seemingly broken mess that ( currently ) is MSFS2024.

Hey contributors... no one cares if you are going to uninstall it or request a refund.  Just do it and let these forums be for those who are prepared to make the effort to get millions and millions of lines of code work together, by being patient, flexible and avoiding the need to be dogmatic.
