November 23, 20241 yr Hi Guys, Interesting comments from FSS on Discord regarding what will and will not get upgraded to FS2024, the time it might take and the possibility of extra charges for the upgrade. Not sure if other developers have signalled this but the comments suggest that compatibility between sims may not be as rosy as Asobo made out. Of course this is just one developers view. Not sure what other developers have said and much of this was probably already factored into the speculation regarding aircraft compatibility with FS2024 but, this is now the reality, at least for this developer. Quote from FSS Discord So, what’s up with MSFS 2024? Hi, @everyone - you’ve all (rightfully) been wondering about MSFS 2024 compatibility now. Similar to other devs, we haven’t been able to say an outright “yes” or “no” because the dev alpha has been so inconsistent. Sometimes it’s worked, sometimes things are broken, and sometimes it’s dead entirely. Though, overall, unfortunately it was looking better in the Tech Alpha than it does now - for the E-Jets, at least some stuff worked. So here’s the “final say” on MSFS 2024 compatibility. E-Jets Family: These aircraft are NOT COMPATIBLE with MSFS 2024. Development will continue for MSFS 2020 for the foreseeable future. The aircraft will have an FS2024 compatible version in the future. 727-200F: This aircraft is NOT COMPATIBLE with MSFS 2024. The aircraft will have an FS2024-compatible version in the future. Tecnam P2006T Family: We are still waiting on internal testing for this product. Tecnam P2012: We are still waiting on internal testing for this product. SeaRey Elite: This aircraft may not be compatible with MSFS 2024. However, development has ended, so compatibility issues will not be fixed. Of note, some of these results may change when/if Asobo elects to implement the ability to download game content to your device. We understand many of you may be frustrated with these results, but the truth is this was out of our control. Asobo seems to have overstated compatibility between FS2020 and FS2024, and our aircraft sometimes appear to not have made the cut. We thank you for your understanding. To clarify: The MSFS 2024 compatible versions may have a small fee applied for the upgrade, but this depends on the amount of work required. There may be no fee if it does not require much work. November 23, 20241 yr It's the same for every developer I've heard so far. Even PMDG who were praising MSFS2024 left right and center have shared their doubts now if they are able to make the aircraft compatible "at all". For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
November 23, 20241 yr I tried the PMDG 737-900 as i had bought it via the Market Place, and it was part of the MSFS 2020 addons that moved over. The cockpit was best described as 3 blank sheets of plastic. Dark grey for the main panel, A white sheet for the cockpit ceiling, and black for the floor, that's it! November 23, 20241 yr I sure hope they don’t charge a fee for continued development of the E-jets into 2024 given that they still are finished for 2020… Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
