It's hard to understand how some simmers go out and buy more ram, a new gpu, or even a new computer for a broken sim. I tried to warn some, but most don't read or listen. MSFS was rushed out the door and that's a shame. MSFS

I'm running 2024 on 2080 @ ultra settings and barely cracking 80% load. For the price a 4000 series card would do just as good and save you probably $500 -$1000. Even though 2024 has some quirks, it's runs well for me and I'm enjoying the hell out of it until the fixes come along in the future. With my 9800X3D I am at 99% GPU load the vast majority of the time. In my system, the GPU is definitely the bottleneck at 4K and everything maxed out.

Didn't materialize. It runs well or me and I haven't seen any stability issues. My core usage is minimal to about the same as 2020. It's running sooth or me, I'm sure Asobo will fix others that has issues. I don't think I ever saw 99% GPU load, even with AIG loading at airports. November 26, 20241 yr @mistolip Don't let the tsunami of misery posted here crush your high spirits. 2024 runs fine on the same hardware as 2020 and has far more detail. November 26, 20241 yr I stopped having the need to look at my fps since BATC started including traffic. I have a 7950X3D, 64gig ram, 4090 etc. etc. In 2020 I get about 60fps in the most demanding situations. So far in 2024 with the same addons I haven't my fps below 72 and the difference in visuals and overall immersion is quite the improvement. Imagine how 2024 will be looking and flying towards the end of its life cycle. Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com

November 26, 20241 yr Author I wonder how good MSFS2024 looks and runs on an Xbox... In Ultra... Would it out perform a 3000 dollar rig?
November 26, 20241 yr Don't fall for the FSX FPS chase hardware syndrome with MSFS 2024. Simply wait for more optimization updates. November 26, 20241 yr Will be buying new PC albeit scaled back specs. No need for bleeding edge when cutting edge will run this all just fine... SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.
