November 29, 20241 yr Is it just me or is FT dead silent in regard of compatibility of their sceneries with MSFS2024 and potentially needed updates/fixes? Has anyone successfully installed any FT airport into MSFS2024? If yes, how you did that? Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
November 29, 20241 yr I have installed all of my scenery in 2024 without problems. Does not mean they work perfectly however. I tried Boston the other day and it was fine from the little I tested. None of them crashed 2024, so that is a good sign. Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
November 29, 20241 yr I haven’t heard anything, but I was able to use CYYZ without issue. My FT airports are installed using a installer, so I do not want to mess around with them basically... November 29, 20241 yr Cant speak for others but I just manually copied them over Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.
November 29, 20241 yr KBOS works for me as well. I am using Addons Linker (AL) and after KBOS was installed, I copied the whole folder into my AL structure (Scenery/USA). For MSFS2024 there is a new AL .exe and I simply selected my existing parent folder where I put all my addons. Then it's only a matter of selecting add-ons within both ALs, one for MSFS2020 and the other for MSFS2024. Bottom line: one folder structure for both sims. For now. When there will be addons exclusively for MSFS2024 I will create a new folder in addition to the existing one for 2024 AL. Huh... sounds a bit complicated but it's simple, really. I only ever fly with add-ons that I need for that particular flight, keeping the Community folder neat and small. And yes, if an add-on comes with an installer, I let it do it's thing then I manually move the folder to my AL structure.
November 29, 20241 yr Author I also use AL, but only for stuff from flightsim.to or in other words, for stuff not coming with an installer or via publisher tool (Contrail, ORBX, Simmarket and Aerosoft just to name some). If I am not wrong, my FT airports I bought all via ORBX, so I hesitate to "abuse" those installations by manually copying folders and relinking them via AL. But if FT does not get active themselves, I might have to do it anyway... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
November 29, 20241 yr I manually copied CYYZ and KLAS into 2024 and haven't had any obvious serious issues. November 29, 20241 yr I copied over from my MSFS 2020 install. Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Corfu, Athens, Sydney work well. Boston caused a CTD both times I tried to use it so I left that one out. But that was before the first sim patch so since others have it working I'll give it another shot. Edited November 29, 20241 yr by FrankSalo
November 29, 20241 yr I just copied them over. That’s the beauty of the MSFS file structure over P3D, sceneries rarely (almost never) have required files anywhere other than their install folder. Michael Moe You’d have to rename the FlyTampa folder in your community folder to match the folder name of the MSFS version. https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/24245-how-to-override-streamed-airport-content-msfs2024/

November 29, 20241 yr I have been copying my favourite airports by various creators from community 2020 to community 2024. Adding two or three at a time (in case of any issue) so far no problems.
