December 3, 20241 yr Add-on Linker, linked add-ons seem not work well in FS2024. When I place the add-on folder (scenery/airport add-on) for example in 2024 community folder it seems to work fine in 2024, however when using Add-on Linker which places a symbolic link in community folder some add-ons seem not to work Just wondering if anyone else experienced it and what the cause might be ? Thanks Andy Home Cockpit B737

December 4, 20241 yr hello @AndyCYXU , it's probably not that, but there is a known issue that some addons might not work if they were first installed in the real community folder and then moved elsewhere (there is a little trick if that's your issue). From what i know this is due to some sort of encryption/security stuff going on on microsoft/windows side because the real community folder is located in some system folders (not sure who had that idea and invented all these complications 😱😁). If that's your issue, you should see something like 'can not read manifest file' in AL for the addon when it has been move to your custom location (left panel), do you see something like that ? If not, then unfortunately i don't really have other ideas, a link is managed by Windows and it should make absolutely no difference if it's a link or a real folder as long as the files are readable. other thing to make sure of is obviously that the community folder used by AL matches with the one used by the sim, but i guess you did already. 🍻 Edited December 4, 20241 yr by Bad_T
