The Overland 777 works in FSX, you just have to port over the config files according to David Nunez' instructions in the AVSIM library and Hex edit some of the texture files, recoloring the alpha channel to match the fuselage color, which will resolve the transparent textures on the nose above the cockpit and in the radar domes. I use a freeware program called DXTBMP. Don't ask me for the texture files though, I've only fixed one livery! Hey Alex!Thanks for your reply!You are correct - it semi-works in FSX. I have no idea how to work with textures, so for me this is a bit of chinese. The panel also has some issues as there are some windows that appear "black" and unfortunately, there is no good 777 alternate panel for FSX that could be used. Dennis:Here is the fix for the Overland VC gauges in FSX:1. Open panel.cfg by some text editor and find "Vcockpit01" and"Vcockpit02" section.2. You can see the "Vcockpit01" and "Vcockpit02" section has a line "Background_color=0,0,0"3. Given the very real performance issues most of us still have with FSX and airliners, even the defaults really, at busy airports, I don't see how any of these highly detailed airports are suppsed to offer much in the way of realistic performance. I mean yes, great to look at and marvel at all of the activity, but the palpable difference in flight dynamics flying at 10 FPS vs 20+ is FPS is very real, despite some of the advice floating around in these forums that 10 FPS in FSX is an enjoyable flying experience. Not after you have tasted 20-30 FPS it is not. My experience is that FSX is a wonderful GA platform, with exceptional scenery detail possibilities and flies beautifully in less busy areas, or if you turn down the scenery detail. But that's the whole point of FSX, is the scenery detail, so we don't want to do that.
