is there any method to set my local time in the sim to GMT

Featured Replies

Both of the addon aircraft I fly routinely auto-sense ambient and cockpit light and manage the difference.  In both cases MSFS 2024 is throwing at me cockpit lighting based on GMT.  I fly mostly in the eastern and midwest USA, at -4 hours to -5 hours delta.  So for example when I am at 1500 local, MSFS is throwing 1900 or 2000 local at my cockpit.  Meanwhile my outside environment and panel lighting are at true local.  So what I get is a daylight outside environment and panel, and a dusk or after-dark cockpit.  My instruments and gauges are then unreadable.

Is there any way for me to trick MSFS into using GMT for all lighting until this is fixed?

Default MSFS aircraft appear unaffected by this malady.

Honda Jet?

I haven’t found a setting to correct this either.

Another bug to be fixed in time.

Well ... here in NZ it's nearly high summer - yet when you go to NZMF (Milford Sound) Live Weather covers it all with snow. I think MSFS thinks it's in Europe. Active Sky gets it right though.

I'm guessing the whole time/weather thing needs a serious rogering ...
