Seeing that I fly exclusively in VR, 2024 with it's issues is a no go for me (never bought or installed it).  I'm curious about the 2D and VR flyers here on Avsim.

I wish there was a 3rd option. If I can fly it in 2024, I prefer that. But it's gonna be a long while before I can fully switch.

Also, a "I am on 2020 and wish 2024 was never released" option 🙂

Stil using MSFS 2020 : because Prosim and  Wideview are not MSFS 2024 compatible.

But : reading all issues I am happy that I did not switch yet…

2024 exclusively with the fenix, came along for the ride just as I did with 2020 gremlin's and all. Deleted 2020 (school boy error) and cant be bothered with the full re-install, so for that reason, its 24. I am actually enjoying it, much prefer the colours too.

I use Pimax Crystal Light which takes horsepower to run. It works extremely well for me in VR in 2024. Not as many fps as 2020 though. But still, not a problem.  I have a better cpu, but a worse gpu (only has 12 GB ram and so forth). I get 40 or so fps.

But can't get 40 with TAA, only DLSS.

Moved to 2024 once the server issues were over, and i'm happy flying the Fenix, A380, and A300. So far i have had no issues at all with them. a lot of the default aircraft have various bugs which i just avoid at the moment. performance, and weather are improved quite a lot compared to 2020. A lot seem to forget the constant ctd's with 2020 when launched, that went on for at least the first year, then the infamous SU5 which basically stopped all dev's in their tracks where aircraft were concerned ,due to switching tact and making the Sim Xbox compatible.... 2024 will improve a lot over 2020, but it will take time.

161 hours in 2024 and not a single issue, runs smoother and looks better. So absolutely no reason to ever use 2020 again.

2D VFR (mainly) flyer. Only using a few select GA planes.

I 've stayed with FS2024 for the ambiance, lighting and terrain + my favorite planes from FS2020 works just fine in '24.

Bought 2024 this week still have 2020, as HS118 stated just setting up 2024 and flying for short hops in GA aircraft testing controls, graphic settings etc.

Still use 2020 for IFR tube flying.
