December 25, 20241 yr What is it that the default camera system cannot do that Chaseplane could? Like many others, I used Chaseplane in P3D for many years but I have found the default cameral system on the whole to be quite good and it meets my needs. I would not pay for another camera addon but is it the setup that is an issue -- there I agree the interface is not the most user friendly but it is still quite functional once learned -- or does the camera system just not do things that you want it to do? MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Since Flight Control Replay is the default replay system for MSFS 2024 now, from a replay perspective, I am also curious to know what Chaseplane can do that Flight Control Replay cannot do in MSFS 2024. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I remember long ago in the early days of 2020 one poster complaining that it would not let him place 120 camera positions around an airport, you could only have 10 or so. That seems like a very specific use case that very, very few people have but for him. Are there other such things the default cameral cannot do? MSFS 2024. December 26, 20241 yr I want to be able to zoom away from the plane but not from the scenery in the outside view.
December 26, 20241 yr I don't know about camera views, but I really wish that they would switch the external view in MSFS 2020 to normal perspective. A simulator requires realistic views, not cartoon style wide angle. I would have taken a lot more external screenshots by now if I could find a view of my plane that does not look wrong. When in the cockpit, press INS on your keyboard (takes you to drone mode) and click the zoom button on your keypad. You can move around using the W,A,S,D,E keys and keypad numbers to pan/tilt. Not sure if its on the 2024 keyboard layout, but I use the FS2020 keyboard layout in FS2024.
December 26, 20241 yr The zoom button does not change the perspective for me in DRONE mode. The wings still look s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d at any zoom level.
